I prefer TJ's edit on this one. That said, there is a time and a place for both and I think the audience appreciates the raw feel of TJ's style as we've grown with it, and can also get down with Anthony's for the rollers and such. Anthony has brought a sense of polish to the channel, no doubt. And a healthy mix of both is the best answer.

I agree with Calvin's assessment. I liked Toine's intro better, but the montage of the car with no VO was an energy drag, and the reactions lost their punch after the reveal.

I don’t watch because I’m a brain dead toddler who needs constant entertainment. I watch because I enjoy the cars, the details, the fucking around and videos that treat the viewer like an adult.

no doubt, its the choice and style of the builds, mixed with the personality. TJ could pump out raw footage and I would enjoy it by default.

TJ's Edit: Tj's is able to show the viewer what he really cares about, you can feel the enthusiasm, you can feel how much he cares for this project car. hes excited. NO one is going to be able to share that perspective better than no other, then Tj. shows story better. OG edit Anthony Edit: Its a showcase. A Trailor. keep your attention. everything professional. youtube. we watch to feel connection. the video is beautifully done. but its a reel.

Dont get me wrong, Toan's editing and film making is amazing. I liked both, just depends on what they're going after. i think calvin said it perfectly. I love the pace TJ's video had but me being a cinematographer as well, i would like to see some more " storytelling " or b roll clips and stuff within the faster pace stuff. Calvin said it best. Teejs brought back nostalgia and I like how he went over the reactions quicker. The perfect video would be first half teegs 2nd half twans. His came out more professional tbh. I enjoyed how he showed the car as he introduced it. Idk I don’t edit but the overall video was amazing. Thanks for showing this. Goes to show how much work is put into smaller things and how you’re open to seeing different POV to improve the channel.

I'm a fan and also work in the production industry. The kid is talented, has an eye for what is popular, and looks current. Always support that energy TJ, because he's doing his job and keeping you current ad the company grows beyond our years. The end of it all is somehow, to work professionally as a Creative, you need the boss's approval and brand awareness. Push boundaries always when possible but never ignore the history of a Brand.

The start with all the homies seeing the car and their reactions was my favorite part of the revile, and how it flowed in TJ's editing felt more personal for some reason. Got into it with Forsberg about this before lol. This situation is entirely different though because we've been watching TJ for YEARS and He made an established style for himself. As an editor coming in, you have to take their style and elevate. Forsberg wasn't consistent and didn't have an established style yet, so it was freedom. Ultimately, He clearly wasn't feeling it and is more of a TJ. I do think Anthony's pace is a little slow on this specific one. If you keep TJ's cadence with Anthony's style then it's a perfect blend. I will say I agree with Anthony is that editors will notice the huggggge bump in quality. Calvin nailed it on the head with his feedback. This video was tight! Good idea. This was helpful as a creative and could be for anyone coming in to edit a creator's channel.

I think they should edit different videos, because to watch the same video consecutively it impacts your judgement. If you watch Anthony's clip first, maybe the reaction would have differ. Think the second time around it became redundant. But both edits were top notch!👌👌 Great work guys!

I’ve been thoroughly enjoying Anthony’s edits EXCEPT for music choice. I agree with Calvin that the music sets the tone, and would love to have some of TJs music influence back in the videos. As a passive watcher I’m just trynna see TJ build these cars though. Great edits from both.

I really do miss the old tj editing style so it put a huge smile on my face and it would be a resounding tj wins BUT taking away nostalgic feelings, I agree with Calvin because right in the middle would be PERFECT tj and Anthony are a great duo and could definitely feed off of eachother and this proved that exactly

While I do feel the nostalgia of TJs edit, I like the evolved feel of Anthony’s. I think the happy medium is true. The raw feel of tjs vision of the vlog style and pace but for sure Anthony’s editing + cinematics as well as music. I like the put together feel of Anthony’s style but on tjs placement of clips.
@anthony55103 күн бұрын

@leohiden0423 күн бұрын
Tj’s video with the car montage of Twan would be the ultimate choice. Tj’s was great just didn’t get to see the car in its full spotlight where Twan really showed the car. I also liked Tj’s reactions a lot more they were very direct and you could still get the feeling rather than the long ones where you lose the pace.
@SJtoday523 күн бұрын
Damn Cal hit the nail on the head with his analysis. TJ’s transition speed and jump cuts matched with Twans b-roll would be perfect
@DamianMitchell10002 күн бұрын
I liked the pace of TJ's edit especially the reactions and I have to agree the music was better choice. I liked the artistic shots of the car on Anthony's edit and I agree with Calvin that a merging of the two edits would be perfect. Tj's edit is more personal and I think that's what his viewers relate to the most. TJ is a genuine person that has a passion for what he does and that resonates with everyone. Anthony has an artistic flair and a vision of what his videos should look like. At the end of the day TJ is paying Anthony for a service and ultimately he has the final say on the end product. Anthony needs to understand this concept and defer to TJ's wishes. Having said that though it is TJ's responsibility as an employer and mentor to foster the creative side in Anthony. He clearly has a desire to create peices of art and we have seen these and they have been very well recieved. Anthony: Make the edits like TJ likes and understand the business model of youtube and also what the subscribers like to see. Have your input and make suggestions for improvement but respect TJ's decisions. TJ: Give Anthony special projects to feed his artistic side. Make mini movies. Let him expolore his creativity. He will grow as an idividual and as an editor and ultimately he will move on to bigger things but you will retain his service longer if he is happy. As the years go by he will look back with respect and remember what you did for him. That is your legacy.

I like this because it’s a healthy bouncing of ideas to make everything better. I like TJ’s style more but some of the transitions on Tuan’s I liked more. I lean toward TJ but maybe a much younger audience member would lean to Tuan’s music choices. Calvin is right about an in between. Take both strengths and make it one. Casey Neistat’s method clearly works and following Teej for so long, I remember watching Casey drop a vid and then TJ drop his similar styled vids. It works, it captivates. It feels “real.” I like the behind the scenes aspect because I love to see how things work so thanks for sharing

Twan won and its not even close! Goodjob tho TJ. Maybe Twan can cut his editing time down and still deliver a great looking product which seems to be what TJ is aiming for, save the heavy editing for the major collaborations. I get a reveal can be major, but previous video suggested that everyone already knew what car it was anyway, so the grand build up wasn't so necessary, but visually I loved it. Took the L like a champ, Twan, keep the fire edits coming bro! Only thing I liked about TJs was how he dated the recap of the trip to Japan. Having that context felt helpful, not totally necessary tho I still very much enjoyed Twan making it a voice over situation.

I genuinely just LOVE tj hunts style. That’s not to diss Anthony in his craft because he’s simply better than tj, but we didn’t really start watching tj because he was better. We started watching tj because he was so relatable and when you click on his video it was like your buddy showing you some raw footage of him and his buddy modding something they had no idea how to do (you may ask yourselves if we know what we’re doing) it’s just because tj was and is different style wise and I really think his edit is simple and chill so basically just try a little less to focal in on the editing and be involved in the videos more too because you’re an awesome personality

My boy twan can throw down on edit! But after reading comments, I agree with alot of the perspective here. Twan is an artist and has the ability to captivate, where as Tj has a style that has worked for years. Don't move away from that forever because it works, but definitely use Twans work for big reveals or videos that need to showcase not only the cars but also his work. Twan and Tj both have their own style, yes, and together they can build one hell of a video, but it goes off the saying if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
