Battlestar Galactica's music is easy to connect with, any song I hear I relate to its specific scene, BSG's music tells you the story and you understand it.

One of my favourite themes from the series is "Roslin and Adama". It was fascinating to learn how Bear evolved this cue to illustrate how Laura's run reflects her psychological and physical state at this point in time. So much work goes on behind the scenes to produce such sublime music.

This is is amazing! To know the work that goes in to make a show prevail for many decades! BSG was and still is my favorite show and nothing topped it yet... The music is still hunting me. I listen to it very often.

When you said: "The music is still hunting me" Does that mean your being hunted by Bear? = Bear the HUNTER Or did you mean to say: "haunting me" which would then make Bear a ghost or maybe both apply then we could call him Bear Ghost Hunter McCreary. I know exactly how you feel about his talent for creating music that leaves a powerful place in memory thats timeless & never gets old or outdated. DaVinci main theme Is my favorite along with his BSG version of Bob Dylan song. Amazing Genius

Been following your musical career via your blog since I was a teenager! I particularly always wanted to watch "Evolution of a cue" but wasnt able to get my hands on the dvd boxset (how much tech has advanced!) Very grateful to be able to watch the full presentation now. ❤

I love listening to the score, but I also love finding out more about how it was made and the creative process. I really appreciated coming to understand all the diverse parts and people that came together as part of Bear's team and the production in turning out quality scoring on BSG. Now I know why the end result was so excellent and stands the test of time even all these years later. Live musicians matter! A composer who cares about the art form matters! Thanks for sharing!

These are such a treat! I’ve been a movie soundtracks nerd since the 80s, ever since first hearing the music from The Natural, The Black Stallion, and of course every John Williams’ score. Bear’s score for BSG is probably in my top 5. So beautiful… I’m glad he went with a real orchestra, and that the studio let him. I feel this show was a turning point for television series music. Thank you so much for sharing these ❤️
