Welp I did it I recorded each time, that’s a good amount of my life I’m never getting back. Crash 1: 20 seconds Crash 2: 20 seconds Crash 3: 20 seconds CTR: 12 seconds Crash Bash: Indefinitely (I think) Wrath of Cortex: 11 seconds (or so) Huge Adventure: 20 seconds Huge Adventure (on polar): 9 seconds (give or take) N-Tranced: 20 seconds CNK: 12 seconds Twin-Sanity: 10 seconds Crash of the Titans (consoles and NDS): Indefinitely Mind Over Mutant: Indefinitely Mind Over Mutant (NDS): 15 seconds N-Sane Trilogy: 20 seconds CTR Nitro Fueled: 12 seconds Crash 4: 20 seconds

Crash 4 invincibility is very, very rare. I kept dying on purpose just to get 2 masks and go invincible with the third being some random Aku Aku crate in some levels. They could have at least made the masks carry over from level to level

Come to think of it, you're right, they are rare. Looking back, I've hardly had any invincibility masks in Crash 4.

Not only that...the aku-aku in crash 4 doesn't protect you from everything, in the old games, the aku-aku protected you from spikes and other things that can kill the player, but in Crash 4, spikes kill the player in hour, same as Twinsanity.

@@noname-jt6kl Not only did they nerf the Aku-Aku making him almost never usable in Crash 4 It's About Time levels, they also made the Aku-Aku not protect against everything, there are things in Crash 4 that can kill Crash even when he is with the invincibility. Twinsanity was the first Crash game i ever played. I remember getting the "invicibility" power and wondering: "Wait, is this the invincibility power? Just like in the Mario games?" then i ran into an enemy and nothing happened and i simply thought: "No it's not. What's even the point of this thing?"

It is also the only crash game so far with most open map and with the most puzzle, some stuffs are well hidden The only problem was the aku aku invincibility, it is the weakest aku aku invincibility in the series

Crash 4 fits the best of the mask power, because these masks represents an entity that protects people or has his own will, so this invencibility power must make the enemies fear crash, making the mask glowing eyes and make wild expressions fits good even with the music.

It’s a balanced mechanic. it balances out with the fact that you have to gather 3 masks without taking damage, and the fact that it just lasts 20 seconds. So it’s not abusable, and it never has been. What’s the utility in twinsanity, what’s the point? What purpose does it serve in twin sanity?

It's sad to know that aku aku's invincibility was nerfed and serves to protect against enemies in Crash Twinsanity, and the annoying thing is that it wasn't a bug, or lack of time, because in the demo version of the game, aku-aku protects from TNT and Nitro only when you get three masks becoming invincible. I'm making a mod for the game Crash Twinsanity, in which aku aku protects from TNT and Nitro and plays the invincibility songs from N.Sane Trilogy.

They chose to not make it protect you from TNTs so you couldn't just use Aku Aku to skip some of the puzzles for the gems.

Lo que me da ternura es que piensan que Aku Aku se llamaba "muerdago", como el "dice". (English/ingles) My mom, aunt and older cousins were big fans of the saga, and i've almost dominated all of them. I could download the 3 first games for their phones. In Crash of the Titans the mask is actually a golden one that you get sometimes in whampa plants If you don't know what i am talking about: Remember when you catch something golden and starts running reeeeaaal fast and kick little enemies far away?

There is some easter egg references to sonic the hedgehog and mario on some of the crash bandicoot games. Some of the enemies said, "Italian plumber" and "fast moving hedgehog".

Twinsanity has the worst, but I hate CB4's Aku very much, ESPECIALLY on the damn lava in the dino chase level. It would have been nice if the mask knocked away obstacles on the rail grind sections too, but nothing is as bad as those lava sections. I also miss when he just followed Crash rather than spun around him.

I still want to know what's being said after the invincibility time is up (& after you lose a mask, when you get hit by an enemy) in Crash 1-3. My kid says the mask is laughing but it doesn't sound like laughter to me, just really fast talking...

The only thing I can make out is "Rutabaga". Naughty Dog said that Aku Aku's "gibberish" isn't supposed to mean anything, but after so many years, David Siller (the original voice actor for Aku Aku) confirmed that the word actually is "Rutabaga".
