To all the people who grew up with BTD4: hats off to all of you, we are old.

I remember when i first bought BTD6i hated the 3 towers paths because i was so used to only having 2. Now i love the variety it brings with it and really makes me enjoy the game for a longer time by coming up with new strategies and fun ways to play the game.

bloons as a game series has done an amazing job at evolving its formula while somehow still feeling the same. every time i look at past bloons games i am amazed at how many things arent there that im used to in btd6

I think it's really cool to see how this game was probably made on flash by a couple of friends or maybe even one guy and it ends up getting a spin-off with one of the biggest cartoons of the modern era

IMO, BTD3 is when you can see what would become modern BTD beginning to take shape. The increased amount of upgrades, the appearance of icons such as the Missile Tower upgrade and Plasma Super Monkey, the Beacon being the first support tower, etc.

BTD 5 will always be a favourite of mine. Overall, it had the prettiest graphics in my opinion and held a lot of sentimental values. I remember playing this almost every summer days with my cousin, who isn't here anymore. This video reminded me so much of him, thank you.

I remember when Btd6 released. I only heard the news a mere week or two before release and was so excited. I was in Florida for summer and I waited in extreme anticipation for it to release. When it came out I played it for hours and hours, during the car rides to our destinations and in the afternoons when I was tired. BTD6 has and will be a great game

Yes, BTD was indeed the most played tower defence around 2010. But there was a certain other small flash game TD franchise around that era probably many of us have played as kids: Gemcraft. You fused gems and played through a campaign, different modes and unlockable upgrades, instead of health there's mana which is also used for defences, basically it was way more complicated and not necessarily made for kids. But kids played them. And today there's a steam game. Eh, just wanted to mention it here to wake some people's memories and how great the games were even back then

Balloons TD 5 is so nostalgic for me... i remember playing it all the time and spending hours on endless mode with my maxed out super monkey, ninja monkey and wizard/ apprentice monkey😊 I remember downloading it for free before too🤩

Fun Fact: Bloons TD 3 and 4 had the limit round as you play Freeplay mode on whatever difficulty you play. Such as BTD3 ended in round 100 but BTD4 ended in round 250. Maybe because to prevent computer from crashing.

I used to play BTD all the time. Probably an unhealthy amount. As I grew up I started playing more games like COD and Halo. One night I came home from work and was about to play some Halo with my friends. We were going to meet up in about half an hour and so I hoped on Twitch for a while until they joined in the VC. I was just browsing, and I saw somebody playing BTD6. It was either ISAB or Aliens rock. In that moment I was taken back several years in the past. All those times almost getting caught by the teacher, having dreams about being a bloon trying to escape from the darts and tacks. I loved these games and still do. All these years and even the oldest versions still have a charm to them that is almost unmatched by any game I have ever played. Thank you NK for making such great games and continueing to help them improve while still keeping that childlike magic alive.

I want a short documentary or book on the complete history of how Bloons came to arise. The history of the series and why they stuck with their sole concept. As well the ideas and thinking that went behind the different towers. Its just something about monkeys popping balloons that makes me giggle for some reason. The idea is absolutely flawless. So good.

Admittedly, I was a bit of a latecomer to this series, but BTD 4 was my childhood.

The first game came out when I was in middle school. Man I feel old. I got number six a few months ago and it's still great as ever.

What makes btd6 so lit is the fact that it exists. Like everyone thought btd5 was the final game- everyone thought it was the end. And for 7 long years, it was. In fact the first 5 games came out within a span of 4 years (2007-2011), and btd6 came out 7 years after btd5 (2018). But like nobody thought it was gonna happen. I remember talking to my friend in 6th grade about how lit it would be if btd6 was a thing and if they had crossbow towers (I had the idea first!) it would be so cool and he was like “yeah but that’s probably never gonna happen. And it did!

I thought I was gonna know all this, but i had no idea DDTs came from bloons monkey city, I thought they were original to BTD6. Great video!

Update+sidenotes for people who aren't as familiar with the btd series: Around the time of btd6's release, a single dev who goes by "ramaf party" made and updates the game called BTD X, FANMADE game, it features its own quirks, such as secret upgrade paths, a boss section with a lot of bosses and a lot of difficulties for each, special missions, with the hardest ones being the boss rushes (forgot what exactly they were called) where u have to beat some of the bosses on a short map, it also has several difficulties which means that all the bosses in the mission are upped to their 2nd difficulty, it can get pretty hard, tho it's kind of cheesable with the heli pilot (I won't go over why, u can check out Ailensrock's series on it from a few years ago to understand and see the game) the game can be downloaded through ramaf party's site which u can get to from his KZfaq channel. In November of 2021, BTD Battles 2 was released, it keeps the basics of Battles 1, a 1v1 duel, where the purpose is to beat the opponent by sending bloons to their side and overwhelm them (and money is received once every few seconds, instead of by popping the bloons, called eco, u start off with 200 and depending on what type of bloon u send, from normal ones to MOAB class bloons, getting a little bit for each one sent or losing some (only losing it from MOAB class bloons). So what's new? Well, the whole game is updated to look and play as BTD 6, so, the graphics, mechanics, towers and bloons are all updated to be just like in BTD 6, and the 4th slot is now used by a hero, instead of a random tower u can get if u spend 1 energy in Battles 1, as of right now about half of the heros from BTD 6 are in Battles 2. Because it's in it's early stages, the game has some problems and bugs, the biggest ones being server lag and balancing at the time of writing this, June 11, 2022. Honorable mention to BTD 5 which even today, receives updates, and while they are mostly just a new map every once in a while, it shows NK's respect for it.

I just purchased Bloons TD 6 for sale on steam this Christmas and I love the game,there are a lot of things to do such as playing maps from other players,boss events,multiplayer and more.I am currently on level 40 and I never played Bloons before so this was all new to me.I have spent hours on this game and I plan to try out the other ones. (By the way I got it on sale for around $4 on Steam)
