See the Dramatic Changes In Bodybuilders’ Physiques Over the Past 125 Years. From natural bodybuilding to people that took bodybuilding to the extreme with beast mass transformation.
Bodybuilders are getting bigger, bulkier and more orange as time advances, and while it’s a part of our culture that many of us don’t really understand, bodybuilding - especially the Mr. America contests - reflects “a desired image of modern manhood”. Size, shape, proportion, conditioning, symmetry, and balance: combine all of these into one human body and you get amazing aesthetics. Forty years ago, guys like Serge Nubret, Frank Zane, Sergio Oliva, and Arnold Schwarzenegger were the kings of aesthetics. They built strong, powerful bodies that looked incredible from every angle. They all had a tiny waist, an insane V-taper, and slabs of quads that made their knees look tiny. These guys were so great that their legacy is just as inspiring and powerful today as it was in the '70s. Muscle Beach Venice has been a home to serious bodybuilders since 1959! Some of the greatest "bodies" ever - Arnold Schwarzenegger, Dave Draper, Larry Scott and Franco Columbo - trained right on the beach! Even today, Muscle Beach Venice holds bodybuilding competitions and has a completely renovated public fitness area and calisthenics "street workout" gym.
The Best Bodybuilder of All Time?
The Mr. Olympias:
Ronnie Coleman
Lee Haney
Sergio Olivia
Arnold Schwarzenegger
Dorian Yates
The Uncrowned Mr. Olympias
Chris Cormier
Jay Cutler
Kevin Levrone
Shawn Ray
Flex Wheeler
Some renowned Aesthetic physiques (in no specific order) include:
1. Ulysses Jr.
2. Lazar Angelov
3. Jaco De Bruyn
4. Sergi Constance
Freakiest Bodybuilders Ever In Bodybuilding History. Who is the most freaky? Maybe Rich Piana?
"AESTHETICS: It is a branch of philosophy dealing with the nature of art, beauty, and taste, with the creation and appreciation of beauty."
"BODYBUILDING: Bodybuilding is the use of progressive resistance exercise to control and develop one's musculature. An individual who engages in this activity is referred to as a bodybuilder. The greatest performance bodybuilding diets may seem complicated and fancy, but they are all built on a foundation of basic principles and simple protein foods. Eat the right ones, and your body will respond accordingly "

@@tcbbctagain572 We need to take a look at the specific compounds these guys were using. Primarily Dianabol and Primobolan in quite 'reasonable' doses. Later on you have wild shit like large doses of Tren, HGH and Insulin which contribute to the big bellies and insanely low body fats. Most folks don't like what dehydrated 5% humans look like, ya kno? Arnold, Zane, Columbo were really those apex golden era bodybuilders :). Solid muscle development with 'full' muscle bodies.

Bodybuilding used to be about health and strength, and a lot of the old school guys (here I will define it as pre-1970) held onto it into their fifties, sixties, and seventies. Grimek was said to be able to squat 400# for reps in his sixties. Although a shoulder injury sidelined his going heavy, Steve Reeves stayed fit into his seventies (I read an interview where he said he eventually had surgery to repair the shoulder and was able to workout a little heavier again). And Jack Lalanne was freakin' Jack Lalanne! I worry about the guys from the turn of the millennium onwards...

No respect as to what the sted heads have gained. Its a shame its not like the 90s anymore :(. Everyone in my generation thinks you have too be freakishly huge just to say they go the gym. Most people in their early 20s and even at 16 are taking steroids to gain this unnatural look and others of my generation actually think you can get like Phil heath and all these so called natural body transformations on the Internet claiming to be natural when they are not, causing people to think it's achievable and then lowering their own expectations. These kinds of physiques with rediculas overagsadurated shoulders is just not achievable naturally and not to mention it all just looks overgrown it don't look right. Literally most people in my generation have no fuckin clue what a naturaly built physique looks like because of the bull shit thrown out by the media. Its very sad. What happened to the times when people looked up too bruce Lees kind of physique. He wasn't massive and wasn't on steroids and had a good physique. Floyd mayweather as well of course he uses the weights for his physique and he may be a boxer but still a good natural physique unlike these icki fucking sted heads that just look gross.

@@hordebucket8971 I go for the ripped healthy look. I also look up to Bruce Lee also. He had a great physique. People forget what fitness is about. It's about being healthy inside and out eating healthy to live a longer happier life.
