Interestingly, the original version had 43 total player slots, but the final version has 47 (not counting Random). It's amazing how what seemed impossible back then has already been surpassed.

1:08 This was the newest version back when I started playing SSF2 as a little kid. good times, man. I remember being so excited when a new version came out. I don't follow the development of SSF2 too much but I still play it with friends sometimes and it's insane how much this game has improved over the years.

Going on and seeing if a new version was put up was so fun, and I was playing back in like 08. Smash Flash 2 has evolved so much since those days especially in the gameplay department. These days Smash Flash 2 is a genuienly good Smash game but back in the day that wasnt the case. I remember when the first major menu change happened and it started to resemble Brawl and being like "woah".

This was the Smash I was playing during the Wii U and 3ds era. Felt so cool having characters outside of the Nintendo and Video Game Circle entirely. Certainly rivals ultimate in several ways.

Fun Fact: Sora Is Also A Playable Character In Smash Ultimate.

Fun fact, playing the game today, Black Mage now has the FF from the official Final Fantasy Smash series icon for representation, rather than the crystal icon they made in older betas. Simon also no longer has a generic cross, he now has the icon of Dracula's Castle also from official Smash.

I remember playing Ssf2 from version 0.1 a long time ago, I didn't have brawl back then so it was the closest thing I had to it. I remember keeping track of the upgrades from 0.1 all the way to 0.9. I remember playing with my brother and my friends for many many days. My brother hates me now and my friends are long gone. Vidoe reminds me of a much more pleasant time. Ahhh good times

Damn. I wish I could play this game again. I remember having fun using black mage, Mario, goku (since his attacks did so much damage), captain falcon and Sora. I remember when me and my friends first used Sora, we didn’t know you had to press the attack button to keep using his final smash. I also remember a glitch where his final smash didn’t even work at all.
