This is actually epic. While previous generations have had dragons, griffins, yokai, etc., we have had 25+ years of chocobos.

FF XV was the last game I played while my little cockatiel was still alive. He used to sit on my lap close to my hands while I played. I miss him so much and the Chocobo theme of this part will always have a special place in my heart!

For some reason, some random reason, I can't stop humming this song. This is stuck in my head all day since morning.

The most beautiful thing about these soundtracks is that you can hear the flow of time as the music evolves to match what the world listened to in its time.

That's so cool how you can actually hear other games in the music styles from 80's to 2000. But also, I think the music style (with exceptions) became less experimental and interesting since then.

Great theme. I always ride a chocobo just to listen to the theme. I also like how each version has a different vibe to it. There's a jazzy vibe, a techno vibe, rock, and even a cowboy bebop-ey one. I love FF15's theme because of the violin and the lenghty tune.

So catchy. I can see why the characters hum along in the newer games.

Sad day...FF16 doesn't have a chocobo theme

It's always interesting with long running series to listen to the evolution of certain tunes that show up in all, or at least most, of the games.

Nobuo Uematsu such a Legend creating this theme. This is why I love all of Final Fantasy Music.

The best ones to me are 7, 8, 10, and 13. They all sound like really bizarre choices for their respective games (Surf Rock, 50s Rock, Big Band Swing, and Salsa respectively) but that's what makes them so good. Orchestral/acoustic music is a bit overdone in fantasy games, so to hear something fresh and out of place is nice.

I remember this being the alarm ringtone on our old folding phone. I haven't realized it was the chocobo theme until I became a fan of Final Fantasy

I just remembered there was a Metal version of the Chocobo Theme in XIII-2 when the Player is riding a wild Red Chocobo. At least it's in the version that was published in Germany. And in XIV there's an own theme for fat Chocobos. Totally missed them here. I mean, even if they're more like Easter Egg,s it's worth mentioning them when doing a video about the Evolution of Chocobo Theme ;)
