You are aware that volcanoes are several hundred times more powerful than a nuclear blast, correct? A nuclear explosion dissipates all it's energy in one go, but a volcano is all of that energy and more over and over again, with enough heat to melt rock. A volcano is much worse.

He had my favourite adaptation of the death of superman (the moment, not the full storyline) too. In the original story Supes and Doomsday just kind of beat each other to death. In the newest animated movie, Supes snaps Doomsday's neck but gets impaled on his spike (roughly the same as in BvS). But in the 2007 Doomsday movie, Supes pulls an orbital german suplex on Doomsday to save a little girl. It's great.

Superman: Doomsday was my first big introduction to the character back then and I absolutely loved that version. The only other Doomsday that I've ever liked was the live action Krypton iteration which I felt did a pretty fantastic job for a TV live action/CGI adaptation.

The film was awesome, however I do have gripe with the film. They should have had the Justice League off-world. It was so weird seeing the league get dispatched in ways that should not had removed them from the entire fight. Hell Flash got hit into a wall and was about to get back up, yet never returns to the fight. We already have seen Flash heal a snapped leg in under 10 minutes. If the league was off-world than this would raise the stacks for Superman and would allow more focus on him in the film. That scene time coulda been used to show us even more how much people love Sups, have him send Doomsday flying and stop to save some people from a fall building, they ask if he will win, and he just smiles with a nod, assuring hope to the crowd. His death would be more meaningful with more focus. Overall would had enhanced the film. Still really liked it though.

I like to believe that version of Doomsday's background story where he was an experimental lifeform who was exposed to Primal Krypton's hostile and unlivable environment and died so many times till it evolved into a single-minded, un-killable and unstoppable monster of destruction that couldn't be killed twice using the same method. Back when I was a kid, hearing Doomsday talk wasn't anything special. But seeing him as this non-speaking, roaring monster made him greatly more intimidating.

I remember when I saw Superman doomsday on Cartoon Network. The first thing I saw was Superman puking up blood after getting punched multiple times in the stomach. That was my first introduction to doomsday and he is still badass to me till this day.

Well too be fair the concept of doomsday in the comics is that he dies fighting Superman during the death of Superman arc but he is revived and comes back stronger....Doomsday evolves over time and whenever he is killed he comes back alive and cannot be killed by the same way he was killed before:..basically he is constantly evolving and Superman has to find other ways to put him down each time. Given Doomsday is such an iconic character, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that his “final form” still could be out there in the DCEU somewhere

Yeah but there is a lack of subtly in his design and abilities. Part of his horror and lasting impression was that Doomsday was an ancient monster that came out of nowhere and was able to make Superman bleed just by its physical strength and invulnerability as well as brutal tactics. To have him just be a clone created from Zod by the already pretty underwhelming Luthor is too direct. And to just look like a monstrous grey hulk with no hair, really the grotesque bone growths should have been there sooner at least. The Smallville one was good and horrifying. Plus big humanoid monsters have been done many times before in film, I don't think its enough for an award. In fact having him hairless is kinda cheap

Not liking the design is a matter of opinion. The execution, on the other hand, is undeniably spectacular. You can see his frackin' pores, for Zod's sake. As for the backstory, blame the comics for giving him one. On the anniversary (in-universe and out) of the Death of Superman, Lex Luthor uses Kryptonian DNA mixed with his own to create a clone of Doomsday and unleashes it on a major U.S. city. Sound familiar? The Doomsday in BvS is more comic accurate than most of the characters in the MCU.

@@kennethsatria6607 Well, I do not think it's a bad thing to give an origin to a villain whose one of his great characteristics is the lack of one like Doomsday, that is something that can be done very well, and has already proved, and as for this, I do not see how to make Luthor directly responsible for his creation is something that harms it (Apart from having several of the original's abilities with only one added, and was able to overcome Superman). And as for Design, well, opinions are opinions.

Actually there is, in the comics he was created on Krypton where he was killed multiple times by his creator in an attempt to create the perfect life form who couldn’t die. The experiment succeeded and resulted in Doomsday hating all forms of life most especially Kryptonians.

In my opinion, Death of Superman is the best overall version, but I only wish the DESIGN was more like the one from Superman Doomsday, certainly the face at least. The extra bone protrusions and expressionless glowing eyes make a significant difference.
