In some missions of Gta SA CJ can do the 360 drive through like end of the line just like niko and gta 5 protagonists.

By the way, Tommy can actually drive-by in helicopter, but for that you need to change to cinematic camera. I think, this is either a bug or just a leftover, since it's pretty logical to not be able to drive-by in helicopter from technical point of view - helicotper rotation uses the same buttons used for looking right and left in other vehicles. There are also some missions in GTA SA that let CJ to drive-by freely and even an cheat code to use a drive-by as a driver.

Can't wait for you to add GTA 6 in your Evolution of Logic in GTA games videos. GTA Vice City Stories also has same drive by physics as GTA San Andreas when you have armed friends in your car and GTA Lost and Damned also has you calling Terry and Clay as backup and they will do drive by in your car or bike as well.

About the windows thing, I think it would be worth a mention, that in GTA SA when having people in the car, all those doing drive-by roll their windows down. This works with anyone you drive with doing drive-by - gang members, Sweet&Ryder&Big-Smoke (Drive-By mission) or with girlfriend Denise who likes drive-bys too and is quite a precise shooter :D

Did you know, there's another feature (possibly a bug) in GTA Vice City, when you driving any helicopter equipped with any SMGs, then select camera to "cinematic" mode, you can actually can be Drive by shooting from helicopter, and the SMG firing sounds like M60 (regardless of any type of SMG)

2:54 Note: With a keyboard + mouse configuration the precision will always be perfect at all times. The "bloom" doesn't exist for guns while playing with a mouse at all. However, the controller configuration works as intended.

I remember getting excited by the drive by shooting mechanic in gta 4, It gave you more flexibility where you aim unlike mafia 1 which had it, but it was a little janky at times

Fun fact: Tommy holds a drive by weapon during flight which actually can be used. Just turn on the cinematic mode in the helicopter or in the skimmer, then use the left or right looking button (usually Q/E). And yes your firing from a flying vehicle!
