Am I the only one who misses the transformations from the older versions?they had there own moves and everything now must of them are the same as smash bros

Transformations are cool but they slow down the game way too much. When someone transforms the only thing you can do is run. Thats why in Smash Ultimate everyone has a quick final smash

SSF2 in general has a problem with removing the unique additions they give characters in exchange for parity with the mainline games. Sonic is the best example.

Man this just really highlights the slow loss of ssf2s unique identity over time. Like it's probably the better game now, but so much of the unique and charming elements that gave it a unique identity from other smash fan games has eroded, like unique movesets or revive platforms

Ay, que tiempos aquellos, cuando los Smash finales de transformación estaban extremadamente rotos, Peach tenía un Smash final que valía la pena, el Smash final de DK seguía siendo igual de inútil, Sora requería un mando de Playstation 2 para hacer su Smash final, y Mario usaba los poderes de Super Mario Bros Z. Por cierto, me di cuenta que en la versión más antigua de Flash 2 los personajes tenían plataformas de respawn estilizadas, que bonito. ¿Crees que podrías hacer un vídeo mostrándolas más detenidamente?

No requería de un mando de ps2, lo que pasa es que te confundía por que los sprites eran botones de ps2 y no sabias cual tecla pulsar porque cada uno la configura a su gusto.

@@Dazhier Lo del crasheo no suena muy favorecedor, a decir verdad. Y aunque se pudiera spamear, imagino que en esa época ya tendría su enorme debilidad con los escenarios con techo.

I don’t know how many versions it was in, but one version with Fire Mario I played, he could cancel his nair into itself, able to lock the opponent into *insane* damage by just mashing the button. Highly recommend trying it, its wild.

Super Sonic in v0.9b was debatably the best final smash transformation wise, if not the best in general, because you could “stack” his attacks Essentially if you did his back air and then ran up to someone, the game registers it as if the hitbox is still there because of Super Sonic’s invincibility trait which stuns the opponent upon contact but deals no real damage. So players could just randomly do a forward air and then run up to you and start a combo with ease

Yo ya tenia a Smash Brawl cuando jugaba lo que en aquél tiempo era Smash Flash v0.7 y poco más tarde el 0.8. La razón por la que mi hermano y yo preferíamos Flash era precisamente por las transformaciones. Eran sumamente divertidas. Desde que Flash empezó a imitar al Smash original, se le acabó la escencia que caracterizaba su originalidad. (El set de movimientos de Mega Man era único, e imitaron el de Smash 4 cuando salió). Lo divertido de Flash era eso, que era un juego hecho por las risas. Pero empezaron a balancear todo y querer hacerlo competitivo. Cuando Fiash llegó a la Beta, me pregunté, "¿Por qué querría jugar Flash? Tiene exactamente el mismo set de movimientos y final smashes que el original. Es solo una versión pobre del mismo Smash". Jamás volví a tocarlo. Ahora estoy en Smash Crusade.

Imma just be honest when I say I hate how safe they went with the Characters. Instead of being unique and having characters be different with their counterparts they just double downed with making characters the exact same, or almost no difference best examples are Megaman and simon, Bowser(Simon is the worst offender)

I just wanna know what the heck is the point with making everything as similar to smash as possible. We have smash already Theres literally no need to make essentially a lesser version of the game. The older versions of ssf2 were a bit clunky, yeah, but they were far more unique and less obsessed with making things as close to official as possible. I blame pro players essentially complaining about the game not being "tournament worthy" Man let me have my cool crazy nonsense fighting game. I miss megamans old power move set I miss sonics moveset I miss Naruto and Goku actually being good in the dang game!!! Current versions literally just look like "Its the official game! But worse! You're welcome."

The SSF2 devs have an increasing tendency to make the game as similar as possible to the official Smash Bros games.

@@ZenFanDox it's kind of saddening to be honest. I've watched the game transform from a highly original (albeit very rough) fan work to a squeaky clean version that tries waaay too hard to achieve parity with whatever the newest smash game is at the moment. I still remember versions 0.5a->0.7 when Megaman was a super unique form change/stance character. Sometime around smash 4's release, he was retooled to more closely match the official version. Same with all the other veteran's tbh. A lot of redrawn sprites as opposed to the more visually distinct style of SMW Mario and DS Yoshi. Gba wario & sonic. Etc. I guess that's just what happens when the game is developed for 15 years.

Para mi en ves de dejar igual el smash final de wario lo empeoraron es como jugar con wario nomal solo q tiene mas velocidad antes al menos tenias diferente movimiento q podian quedar bien como la moto
