And now they added back the heavy shotgun, however it's had a ton of changes. It only shoots one pellet, its range is incredible and it does the most damage in the game (still no 200 pump tho). However, it is sometimes incredibly challenging to hit a shot with it and you would have to have good aim to be able to use it in most scenarios.

You forgot that in Season 1 Chapter 2 the pump and tac did the exact same base and headshot damage but the tac could shoot faster while the pump had a slightly longer range. The tac then got nerved too much at start of Season 2 so you only hit 40 when an opponent was more than 1 tile away. This then also made the charge season weird because the charge felt clunky and the tac hit really low. Then in S5 the tac got buffed again

I honestly think season X's combat/tac/pump was the best, since each of them promoted a different play style (long range / boxfight / midrange)

my biggest complaint with the season is actually the shotgun reload times, these guns would be so much more usable if they werent soooo slow

Despite how broken it was, I feel like the heavy shotgun dealing 300 damage at close combat to the head should have stayed, because it would have finally earned the name heavy shotgun.

I feel like they needa make the striker shoot as fast as the pump since it can’t do as much damage and nerf smgs than arena would be playable

I loved the season 3 meta in general, the pump was balanced because of the nerfed double pump and the tac was an eligible option against it because of its wider reticle.

The charge wasn't in chapter 2 season 7, unfortunately because I really like it, but I did craft the lever from tac in that season, just because I don't like the tac at all

I love the lever action shotgun so much because who doesn't want an almost fully auto pump? it does amazing in no builds right now, wider spread(tightened when adsing) and it just shreds. I pair it with the mammoth pistol and it works absolute wonders, i pick it over the shark tooth any time I see it, no matter the rarity, I just got so comfortable with it in ch2 s5

The Pump was by far the most balanced during Seasons 6-8, and the Tac was most balanced during Chapter 2 Season 2

A balanced pump vs combat in season 9 would have been goated. It was so frustrating how they messed that up. I think it's best if they have two types of viable shot guns within a given meta. Pump vs Tac. Combat vs Charge. A Double Barrel vs the Lever Action. Ideally those prevalent shotguns would come in uncommon and rare, with the option to upgrade up to epic variants. For example blue pumps you could upgrade to up to an epic havoc or striker. The Tactical shotgun on the other hand could be upgraded up to an epic variant. The double barrel could be upgraded to an epic dragon breath. While the lever action could be get a havoc variant to upgraded to. Ideally you could have reserve legendary and mythic weapons to specific locations POIs that need to be plotted for. A couple gold spas/ tacs scattered amongst the top 2 spots. A well paired mythic shot gun and a couple rare versions of that shotgun at tedious POI. Having the option to upgrade to a shot gun that is your preference, but not necessarily OP over what is found in floor loot. Or being able to fight/ scheme for weapons that offer an advantage. I actually dream of that shit for this game.

I love the glass cannon shotguns like the double barrel and the dragon’s breath. If we had a meta based around those I’d actually play this game again

Chapter 3 shotguns need a buff asap. I’m a returning player who last played back in Ch 1 season 6 and the spray meta is so unbearable. For example, I boxed a guy in and was able to shotgun him for torso and a headshot, did about 30-60 damage per shot. This guy, just takes his purple smg, and Insta melted me. It’s unplayable.

8:00 Season 6 had one of the weirdest ways of getting a pump. The way to go around this was to just land on that wood cabin where there you could find that rockstar girl skin and she would give you a mission to just dance and gave you 120 gold, then you would go to the mini version of flush factory and talk to the npc in the back, and she could give you either a purple or a blue pump

Pump, Tac and Charge are what I'd call the perfect shotgun meta, pump is great for box fighting, Charge is good for endgame and defensive playstyles, and the tac is great for boxfighting and zero builds

Chapter 2 Season 1-5 Pump had the most balanced stats, half of them didnt do insane base and headshot while still being able to compete against the Tactical (not the Common one tho, that didnt do much) frankly 80/85/90/95/100 x2 headshot is imo the best way to balance it

11:20 the new shotgun is just a slower version of the pump, you had to wait A TON of time before actually shooting with it because of the animation it had, the auto shotgun is a tac but with a slower reloading time

The damage is so inconsistent with the pump now. It's literally either 40 damage with a headshot, or 110 with a headshot. The shotguns are practically useless, especially if you have the SMG

I think that the crafting and upgardeing mechanic would fit more into Zero Builds cuz you don't have to collect mats for a third of the game. During season 6 it effectivly turned every game into a Minecraft Hardcore PvP server.

Chap 2 season 3 was great to have a break from the pump. Charge was great for mid air plays, trickshots and box fights

Hey Reisshub, I don't know if you will read this but I'm gonna say it anyway. 1. Please don't generalise when talking about the Pump. Everybody definetely doesn't love it, myself included. It's not that I hate the Pumps per se, but their current versions and the cult that has formed over time praying to it. A Pump Shotgun had no business doing 116 body damage. You called out the unhealthy playstyle the Tactical incentivized which I agree with but you and many others are too biased to see the issue with thr Pump Shotgun's base damagd which really threw skill out of the window. The Pump does not promote balance at all (unless the Charge is in or another shotgun is ... which then gets called overpowered and overnerfed thus making the Pump the sole unbalanced meta again :/) 2. I don't fully agree with the Heavy Shotgun being "straight cheeks". People are oblivious to the fact that it is glitched and has been so for the past 1000+ days (vaulted on January 29th, 2019). People literally should not judge it anywhere since mid-Season 7 where it got vaulted to now. It literally does not work as intended in Creative currently. I have fond memories of it because I remember it being a decent shotgun for its time (late Season 4-late Season 6). It does 192 headshot damage for gold and is definetely better than the Striker and Lever you put in a tier above. You need to consider the fact that it does 83 structure damage which allows it to wall-replace with a 7-shell magazine and a faster fire rate than thr Lever. 3. There were some mistakes in the videos. The Charge f.ex. wasn't available in CH2S7. Also, you should have mentioned the Combat's overnerf in CH2S4. You should also know that the Heavy Shotgun's model and stats got updated around the time Chapter 3 launched. It is coming back 100% this Chapter, HYPEX thinks it might even return this Season.

mid season 9 was my favouritre meta, having the pump with the combat and the tac aswell was just the best. We wont talk about the drum shotugn....

The double pump got patched in season 3 but you could still hit a combo with tac pump- tac heavy- pump heavy. It later got back during S4 and completely removed in S5

7:05 no charge was a normal gun in the loot pool untill the halloween update where they vaulted it it u were able to sidegrade to it in chapter 2 season 8 and in the season before it u could sodegrade to the lever shotgun

How is removing the structure damage benefit from the tac a balanced change when the tac was already easily inferior to the pump and charge? Structure damage was the only remaining thing that made purple and gold tacs still viable. Since the tac has a wide reticle, nerfing its headshot damage and range made it an awful weapon in almost every way. Now the auto shotgun has even worse range, much slower reload, and no structure damage. To me, perfect shotgun meta is a nerfed body shot buffed range and headshot tac, just so slightly buffed charge, and the pump with 1.75x headshot
