I remember in like SvR 2011 and probably before that, there was this thing they had in the games where when someone was busted open the blood would drip on the floor and you'd see it on the floor and then when you attacked them you'd have blood on your knuckles. I have no idea why the fuck they removed that realistic feature. One of the things that makes the older games superior in a way.
