👋😃You only get a little bit of their history in this video. Their story is AMAZING! 3 childhood friends + 3 more amazing people and how they became the GREATEST A capella group EVER!!!

The record label that dropped them was Epic, a minor subsidiary of Sony - Sony was the sponsor of _The Sing-Off._ After they started going viral on KZfaq, Sony came back to them with the offer of another contract, with Madison Gate, another minor subsidiary, which mostly released soundtracks. Then when they won their first Grammy, for "Daft Punk Medley," Sony came back to them and said, "Um, we think you might find a better fit with our flagship company, RCA. Are you interested?" Pentatonix has been with RCA ever since. When PTX won _The Sing-Off,_ people involved with the show warned them that Epic had been playing fast and loose with some of the earlier winners, but what could they do? The trio were only 19; I think Kevin had just turned 24, and he was the oldest of them. And this was their dream, for all five of them. The fact that they stayed together and worked so hard to make that dream come true, even after losing the contract with Epic, makes that quite obvious. You might want to listen to their original song "The Lucky Ones." It's about their origins, and the tribulations along the way, and how it all worked out for them. At this point they think that losing the contract with Epic was a blessing in disguise.

I know you've seen their official video of "Bohemian Rhapsody" - do you remember the way the five of them were arranged on the couch at the beginning and end of that video? That was deliberate. It was a callback to the way they sat on the couch for those early KZfaq videos they made.
