Allow me to explain Ridley's life and how he kept coming back: Metroid NES/Zero Mission: Ridley is taken out by Samus Metroid Prime: Ridley's body is recovered and revived with a cybernetic body, robocop style. He is defeated but not killed, just severely wounded. Metroid Prime 3: Ridley is back with a new, Phazon infused body (Dark Samus gets her power from phazon). He still suffers the chest wound from Prime 1, which is his downfall, and is killed. Metroid Samus Returns: Taking place much later, Ridley's scientists have almost perfected their technique in reviving him, and he returns with relatively few cybernetic parts. He is defeated, but escapes before he can be killed. Super Metroid: Ridley has completely recovered. He is killed by Samus and any and all traces of him are annihilated by the destruction of planet Zebes. This is Ridley's true and final death. Other M: This is just a clone of Ridley that the Galactic Federation secretely made from cell tissue that got on Samus's suit during her battle with him. It gets killed by the Queen Metroid. Metroid Fusion: Ridley's Clone's body is kept in cold storage and infected by X-parasites, making a sort of "zombie ridley". Samus kills it.

YO!!! Ridley is such BADASS character in the Metroid franchise! Not only is Ridley a Giant Purple Pterodactyl with massive wings and an elongated spiky tail that is really sharp and super sharp claws AND can breath fire from his mouth PLUS shoot a beam from his mouth also! But he also a SPACE PIRATE!!! As in he has his own Pirate Crew, In space! PLUS, Claims he can eat the flesh of humans to regrow cells, Which means he has regeneration!!! ALSO, Ridley has died before, but he has been resurrected into MANY forms of himself! First it is the original Ridley that Samus has to fight. than afterwards in another game you meet Robot Ridley! Than after that, he returns again as Cyborg Meta Ridley. Than he gets ressurected by Dark Samus and currupted by The phason, THAN afterwards, returns INTO Omega Ridley!!! Oh yeah, There is also a clone of Ridley too made within the Galactic Federation called the "Ring Leaders"!! So yeah, I really Love Ridley and how badass this wicked character is. He is so complex and in depth. So That is why I find him so cool. AND he was added to Smash Bros Utimate, Which makes him even COOLER!!!

The battle in Super Metroid is very stressful, because both he and Samus are tanks and can take a lot of damage. He makes sure every single super missel counts. MetaRiddley is a close second. And in Prime 3, he becomes the boss of the Leviathan itself, like Metroid Prime and the Emperor Ing. Truly, he is extremely effective in telling everything you need to know about him on the gameplay.

Ridley is one aggressive flying beast. Any version of him will stop at nothing to get in Samus’ way for a death battle. He looked totally different in the first Metroid which was like a rough draft. Ridley and Samus resemble with the Xenomorph alien vs Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) in Alien. Alien was no doubt an inspiration to the makers of the Metroid games by having a dark and sinister tone, a sci-fi theme, a female protagonist, and a monster named after director Ridley Scott that looked somewhat similar to the Xenomorph alien. Then of course the metroids were like the face huggers.

I know most people liked that they didn't force Ridley into Metroid Dread, but here's my pitch anyway. In the scene towards the end where Samus reaches a lab full of cloned specimens in large containers, Samus looks in horror at a clone of Ridley sleeping in one of those. Samus destroys the lab killing the Ridley clone (or does she?) and is then attacked by the red EMMI. So finally after Samus going super sayan and Raven Beak Defeated, the X that attacks Raven Beak is not Kraid but that of Ridley's clone. The fusion creates a Ridley-Raven Beak abomination and is the actual final boss, not just microwave him like the Kraid-Raven Beak in the game.
