Evolution of RX-7 (FC) in Gran Turismo

Following the 1.15 patch update in Gran Turismo Sport in March 2018, each mainline Gran Turismo entry has featured the iconic second generation Mazda RX-7 (FC). Here is a look back at the history and evolution of the RX-7 FC in each of these Gran Turismo entries since its debut in 1997.

Don't know what you mean by over rev buzzer, but I'm guessing that means overshadowed by the FD?

It's the buzzer that make a loud noise when you hit the redline. Look at the cockpit view at 6:18.

The speed chime of the AE86 is also there in GT Sport, amazing detailing.

Man the FC is just so underrated in video games! Like now it's in Forza Horizon 4 but before that it was only featured in Gran Turismo games.

Right and if you noticed, the physics has changed at a smaller rate than the graphics. In other words, Kaznouri has been placing more priority on the physics than the graphics. Physics is what the franchise is known for.

Really hope GT7 is like the old ones when it comes to the cars so many street cars to choose from and different model variants! Love GT Sport but it’s more FIA based

Totally agree... GT Sport is more a Simulator wannabe than an actual GT game of the Gran Turismo series, its a more multiplayer focused game that completely forgot what it always had different, the most complete and pleasant career of any racing game out there... What they did, they did well, the game looks and plays well, but its missing the whole career GT style, car count, tuning, car wash, car maintenance, custom GT tracks instead of just a few booring real tracks only (I only like Nurburgring, they didnt even included Laguna Seca which is probably my 2nd favourite best world track) almost everything is missing...

I always loved driving the FC RX-7 in GT. Annoyingly in GT3 the car has a NASTY tendency to oversteer.

Observe how the cockpit view in GT5 and 6 seems more dynamic when accelerating and braking. The camera actually conveys the G force motion and it feels more alive. GT Sport in comparison just seems kinda static and fixed. I hope GT7 returns to the old camerawork of GT5 and 6

Should be on the same track and stock. GT3 was a big leap in terms of graphics compared to GT2 and GT1 I mean just look at the transition between GT2 and GT3, you'll be like "Woah. That was a huge improvement".

Infini III was a trim level of the RX7 FC. 10 extra hp and BBS wheels were the main updates. Efini was a Mazda marque that wasn’t created at the time of the FC RX-7. The FD RX7 (third generation) was called an Efini RX7 because in Japan it wasn’t sold as a Mazda, but as an Efini. Outside of Japan, we know it as a Mazda RX7. Same with the Mazda MX-5 Miata (Eunos Roadster) and the Mazda Cosmo (Eunos Cosmo)
