Skate it was my first skate game..

skate 1 = nostalgic skate 2 = great ragdoll physics skate 3 = great control/gameplay

Skate 4 Needs A release date. Amazing realistic graphics. One full location like Skate 2 but with nice connecting plazas and flowing like Skate 3. Less community like, more underground, more San Van, less Carverton City. Day and Night cycle, less blue sky more sunset glow. Amazing GTA/THUG2 character customization such as bigger and better clothing and hair options, band shirts, piercings, artistic tattoo sleeves, more artistic deck designs for example (Green Creature Dreamcatcher) and (Cole Zero Mermaid) little less generic or basic for example like BAKER or just simple little designs and logos. Various mega parks instead of one. Optional turn on and off grind sparks effect. DRAGON FLIP FLICK. Improved Mega Park creator. lastly almost forgot, a great soundtrack with alot of awesome Rock bands and Alternative Punk, for example A Day To Remember, The Beautiful Monument, Escape The Fate. Take note, for those who want it to be as realistic to the point of using wax and your board breaking, understand that this is still a video game, if you had to wax ledges and have your board break it would not be fun. Like this comment if you want Skate 4 to be as listed above and somehow screenshot and send this comment to EA please. I would make the game myself but sadly I don't work for EA lol.

I cringe at this video so much. I'm getting a lot of comments about the Backside trick, yeah I said the wrong trick, sorry about that. Also it is totally fine to disagree with tricklining. I really enjoy playing the game this way. Don't get me wrong I really enjoy doing realistic skating as well within the game (I may not be good at it, but i really enjoy realistic as well). personally I think skate 2 is the best, spots like the stacks are amazing, but overall skate 2 had a ''rougher'' and more urban feel, what I think is important for an ''extreme sport'' Skate 3 is like disney's skate 2

Wow. I remember when the first Skate was coming out, and being really into the Tony Hawk games, I thought Skate looked difficult in comparison but fun. I didn't even have a new console at the time. I was sttill on PS2. Skate was one of the few games I remember really wanting for 360 well before I even got the system. To this day I haven't played a Skate game. Finally gonna buy Skate 3 tomorrow. Can't wait.

I got skate 1 the same day I got my PS3(fat one) in 2007. Those were good times, the game's graphics and gameplay flick it controls just blew me away. Still my fav to this day.

I remember the wii skate. IT, and it was SO MUCH FUN! As with most wii games, it gets so inaccurate that if just becomes hilarious. Then, when you land a really tight trick, it becomes 10x more satisfying.

Skate 1 With the added tricks and clothes in 2 and 3 and all the soundtracks merged and being able to get off your board and run and walk around and same graphics (i love the skate 1 graphics the most) would make it (in my opinion) the best skateboarding game to ever exist even though to me it already is, barely beating out skate 2. Idk I just love the feel and graphics and map in skate 1 so much it feels and looks and plays beautifully and just I don't even know how to explain it. I love the 1st game so much and am glad they made it backwards compatible on xbox one finally. Still wish they had made 2 backwards compatible so the whole series would be, but I'm fine with still hooking up my xbox 360 and playing it there when I wanna play something besides the 1st one :)) Skate 2 is good and I love the map but just idk skate. Is just so much better to me. I only played this one more than the original for a few years because I could get off my board and walk up stairs instead of skating around for a while looking for another way up and all the newly added tricks that were awesome and the new soundtrack. Skate 3 I don't even know how to talk about. Hated having shingo be the camera guy instead of Reda, hated the camera and graphics seemed like a downgrade from both others and seemed brighter and more cartoon-ish and hated a lot not all but a lot of the map and how it all felt so small compact and tight and not beautiful. I loved the soundtrack and customization choices though as in a lot more clothes and boards and such. The only one that kept me on this one for as long as it did is that this is the only one a lot of my friends bought so I only really played with them on this one cause they all viewed it as the newest game in the series so it must be the best because games only go uphill as the series goes on right?? Which has been proven untrue in like every single series ever.. I told them what goes up.. must come down. Yet only 1 of them ever bought 1 and 2 and I never played with him on those but at least he now knows why I love the others so much. Anyways that is my say so on this series I could say a lot more but this is just a KZfaq comment that I don't even know if it'll be read by anyone but I hope if someone does they tell me their thoughts. I think what killed Skate was it started turning into another Tony Hawk Skateboarding game, with unbelievable tricks and glitches which made it feel less like a skateboarding simulator and more of an arcade skateboarding game. I think people loved the idea of pulling off cool tricks that seemed like they were really doing those tricks, and not doing things like triple back-flips and the like which would actually kill you if you tried them in reality. That's my impression anyway.

am I the only one who thinks Skate 3 is the worse? I felt like skate 3 had stupid bugs in it incouraged you to do stupid shit that you wouldn't do on a skateboard, and I also think that it's stupid that you don't get kicked out of spots like in skate 2 or have skate stoppers all over the place

The campaign is what holds this back. It's too easy and unimaginative. If they made a skate 4, it needs to have a way better campaign and better mechanics and less glitches

Saints row 2/skate 2-main character gets out of prison only to find that the city has been changed by an earthquake, and has to work to regain recognition. Developers took everything great about the first game and added on pleasing fans greatly. Saints row 3/skate 3-main character has to start from scratch his own way after a big downfall. Known for being slightly too over the top compared to other games, splitting the fan base and leaving some wanting to go back to a more realistic standard
