When it was 70s and he’s in Japan. It’s a different story. He didn’t got his powers from a bite of a radioactive spider but an alien from Planet Spider, the alien gave him the bracelet along with powers and weaknesses. By that time he shoot ropes and nets instead of webs and it can even summon a flying car and a spaceship which can transform into a giant robot ( similar to modern day Power Rangers ) .

He isn’t actually it’s was just a deal that Stan lee made with toei and that deal was that toei would use marvels most popular super hero and at that time was spider man and in exchange marvel would help toei make the next super sentai series aka Battle Fever J so that’s what happened btw super sentai is what power rangers copied off of with the suits and monster costumes so basically everything started with Japan lol
