Evolution of the Ford GT40 Race Car in Gran Turismo

A car that could easily have been in GT7...ignoring any licensing issues of course!
This video looks at all of the Ford GT40's apper5ances in the Gran Turismo series. This car is probably one of the most consistent in all its appearances, both on sound and performance. And for me, definitely a dose of nostalgia!

I actually just bought the GT40 in GT6 in January this year. 20 million credits it costs...a rip off! I do like the car, but no car should be worth 20 million credits, come on. The engine sound is pretty consistent in all the GT games, kinda rotary...with a blocked nose 😅 but I like it!

@@hunteriggy2762 Well they have the road version, so they could just add to the model and make the race car version. I'm sure making a car model is more difficult than that, but considering both road and race version appeared together in past GT games...I'd say they should have added a race car version...though I could say the same about a lot of road cars in GT7.

@@solsticecity in the lexus dealer ship in gran turismo there is no is300 or there touring car version of it

@@hunteriggy2762 I think Lexus was officially added in GT4, Lexus were still under Toyota before then. I think the IS model was added in a later Gt game.

I really like how this sounds like a much more calm version of the esperante in GT3. Both awesome sounding cars. But idk if its worth bringing this car back to GT7 if we already have the road car

I'd never say no to any new cars, but for me personally...the race car should have been added alongside the road car. But since we have the rad car, the race car should also be there. Plus we barely get any new race cars added to GT7, and again personally, I prefer driving race cars to road cars in GT games.
