Even Britishers couldn't unite India if yes then what the hell was Hyderabad kingdom Kingdom of Bikaner Kingdom of Jammu and Kashmir Kingdom of Sikkim Kingdom of Manipur Kingdom of Junagadh It was valabhbhai Patel who diplomatically and by military offensive united india again. Fun fact these local kings were protectorate of Britishers and Britishers didn't control those areas directly .

@@Clone_trooper232 Lord Mountable did not Patel. That patel genocided 20000 muslims with his army. Thoroughly wrecked the city of Hyderabad, burnt houses of muslims just to forcefully merge it with India. British Raj had small kingdoms ruling on their own but they were dependent on British India for their crops, transport, irrigation facilities ! And were loyal ! The British Raj even united seven sister states with India and even parts of Afghanistan but they were left to Pakistan after partition. The British cabinet always wanted a united India. Patel united India is a myth. He didnt even have power. Lord Mountbatten, PM Attlee, Sir Winston Churchill and Gandhi supported a United Indian subcontinent ! But it was dissolved by the Indian and pakistani leaders themselves. They didnt even listen to Gandhi. So gandhi left politics. Nehru didnt even opposed Sikhs in India. Jinnah, Savarkar, Nehru became greedy for their political powers.

@@lilboy3102 didn't you read I said those small Kingdoms were under local kings control after British left and india became dominion and it was Patel who did his best .he initiated diplomatic dialogues and in the last military offensive hyderbad could fall into communist and razakhar control .even if razakhars had controlled them then there were chances that separatism in South India could have happened because of hyderbad state . Tripura and manipur were even princely states .Junagadh was about to become part of Pakistan.patel was the one who ordered action against it .whole india would have balkanised if Patel was not there
