This enemy has been seen in loads of pipes and even outside of them fighting mario, luigi, and toad to help out bowser with kidnapping princess peach. We have seen them in games like super mario bros, super mario maker, super mario 3d world, super mario galaxy, super mario run and way more! But how did they change in terms of gameplay, use, design and story.

@Dr. Wily Nice video but you overlooked a detail in "The Lost Levels". The red piranha plants are more than just a pallet swap. If Mario stands beside a pipe the green piranha won't come out. The red ones come out ignoring if Mario stands beside the pipe or not making them a more dangerous trap and a harder game experience.

this video reminds me that Nintendo still hasn't added a number of things to super mario maker including: •the ptoowey •more skeleton enemies •pokeys •some tweaks to laqitue •hidden passages (front layer semi-solid platforms instead of the usual back layer) •SLOPES!!! •split pipe segments •triggers(seen in new smb2) there are a lot more but I'll leave that to the message to Nintendo
