Nope, 993 Air-cooled Turbo is the best, but to each his own. Jokes, every Porsche 911 Turbo is the best in their era. It’s a matter of personal taste.

Bamber too guys, part of the Porsche team, in my opinion the 930 window Maker from 75 is the most amazing car from all with the amazing air cooled engine and the big turbo follow by the incredible 4 speed transmission

@@Me-fj8sb beautiful spell check error sir. As the “window maker” did it kill you by going backwards through a house and unintentionally putting a hole in the wall large enough for a new “window”. Or (and being cheeky) were there no female Porsche owners back in the day?? Seems there are no female Porsche drivers in this era too..... Porsche there are a wealth of Formula “W” drivers you could have picked on, just the one.... What do you think?

The most hated, but also the most underrated. Without the headlights, it’s not all that bad. However, it’s the headlights that make the 996 the worst and the most special at the same time.

@@lu-hsipan9333 It's true that the headlights are the failed part of the design. I consider them as a fail as long as I can't find any good meaning or need for them, even if I like them... Round headlights would have been much nicer. I can't find any good reason for them to be. Or maybe they were affraid to create THE perfect 911...🤫 The other fail of the car is the quality of the interior. Mine has got light Root mapple and it's a disaster. A shame for that price. I've got many Mercedes from 60's to 2000's, and the quality on all of them is soooooo better. It was possible for Porsche to do better...

@@TRIUMPHINT Porsche have lost so much money in their over-engineered air-cooled 911s, especially after the 959 fiasco. 996 is when they start cutting cost for profit. Thanks to that, we got the best-of-both-worlds 997 series 911. However, I find 997’s interior lacking compared to other cars from the same era. 996’s interior holds up slightly better because it looks simpler and classy in my humble opinion. I would only have full leather interior for 996, and maybe carbon fibre trim (they do crack occasionally due to prolonged exposure to the sun/heat) as it’s more durable than wood trim (their quality is disastrous).

For real. Although I'm too poor to own one, I HAVE at least driven each generation extensively (I used to work at a Porsche dealer). When the 996 came out and armchair critics were complaining, I was like "I don't really see what the problem is." Headlights were fine and the car still hauled plenty of ass by my standard. I still liked brute rawness of the 993 more, but the 996 did NOT deserve the hate it got. Great car. Just make sure to swap out that IMS bearing if you get an NA model. ;)

I've really tried to like the styling of the new Turbo but I just can't get passed that gaping maw of a front end. Performance wise it cannot be denied but I hope they refine the look with the 992.2

R.I.P. Porsche 969, a stillborn prototype that was set to succeed 930 Turbo and as a spiritual successor of the marvellous 959. Would have been my dream car if it was to realize. Personally, my favourite Porsche production car is the Porsche 959. Nothing beats the king, neither the Carrera GT nor the 918 Spyder.

I’ve come to the conclusion these aren’t even marketing advertisements for the brand. You know the type “come on buy me, you know you want one...” The lack of diversity in the drivers, undoubtedly incredibly skilled as the group are, shows the driving world for what it is. Read a very recent piece by Lewis Hamilton where he discusses diversity with Toto Wolff. It is an eye opener (read from a white guy’s perspective here) and should be mandatory for every motoring marketing department - I’m looking at you Porsche. Before I get slaughtered in the rush still a great video! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
