Hmm cant relate much, didnt love the early versions but 1993 was my fav i still play that today 2005 its 3d which makes it slower. 1993 was fast moves and good ganeplay

Punisher 2005 still remains one of a kind. There's no other game that plays like that, makes you feel like that, and my god cinematics were awesome. Punisher's voice actor did a perfect job

Can we talk about how there's a game where Spider-Man is such a cowardly narcissist that he persuaded the Punisher to enter a hostage situation and brutally slaughter all the thugs by himself, only for Spider-Man to swoop down, grab the hostage, then take all the credit for the rescue?

O N I yeah max Payne is is a perfect recipe, especially how maxpayne 3 was. I absolutely loved the multiplayer along with the great long story that I've beaten I think 5 times. Might be time for them to make that backwards compatible.

A remake with more guns, freeroam, more kills in slaughter mode, outfits, customizations to guns, keep the duel wielding, more explosives, side missions, able to drive vehicles and health packs, torture can help heal too, but I would prefer health packs or pain killers in the punisher game.

2009 Punisher was a mockery of the True Punisher, the 2005 version. Punisher isn't a sadist, he is a sane man fighting a war against all crime, and in war you don't show mercy, but you also shouldn't take pleasure in others' pain unless you want to be another monster. Also that 'Triple kill' 'Slaughter' 'Massacre' just shatters the immersion.

Frank Castle Yeah but that actually had a story behind it by the time of punisher Max Castle has been doing this for 30 years and has killed 40,000 people so it's no wonder he's fucked in the head and even then he maintains a level of morality meanwhile War zone punisher blows someone's brains out for stealing

Make a punisher game with the mechanics of a Splinter Cell games. Be able to Custom Franks gear and guns. Throw in a good story side objectives, Easter Eggs and all that Jazz and we have a great game.

The 2005 game is actually pretty awesome because the twist with Jigsaw being Bobby Saint and the lengths he went to get his revenge like Stealing Iron Man’s armor was so interesting. I also liked how the criminals gave up on the Takagi Level cutscene and said Jigsaw won and it really emphasized the fear a regular crazy guy inflicted upon these criminals. Also the cameos of other Marvel characters were awesome lol

Malone Samson It would probably be a choice if you wanna play him as a reluctant, troubled but good man who cares deeply for innocent lives or a borderline serial killer who's just addicted to killing criminals and is kinda indifferent towards civilians (basically the Max incarnation)

Loved the Capcom Aracade game. 2 player co-op! Also the Thomas Jane Punisher game done by the people that did Saint's Row. I wish they could do another Punisher game and have him wear the freaking body armor! I also enjoyed Marvel Heroes online, playing as Doom and having Punisher as his side-kick. How mismatched is that!

Frank needs more exposure in games. The arcade beat em up and the one in '05 are his only greatest hits and we got left on somewhat of a setup to a sequel/cliffhanger for both technically

Even though I haven't played that many video games since we (my family & I) were a bit poor; although we played original PlayStation games as well as Game Boy games, I do recall playing The Punisher: The Ultimate Payback! and enjoyed playing it a bit.

My only problem with the 2005 game was that it took points off your score if you executed enemies after interrogating them. I'm a huge Punisher fan, so a mechanic that penalizes you for brutally killing a criminal in a Punisher game just didn't feel right.

That was the ESRB's fault. They basically forced the developers to make the executions display in a Black & White filter and that is also why you get negative score as well for doing it. The reason these changes had to be made though was because the game would of being rated AO otherwise which was not a option as the game wouldn't of being allowed to be released on any console if it was rated AO and retailers wouldn't stock AO games either so unfortunately it had to be censored to even get a proper release.

Capcom's 1993 arcade game should've been Fantastic 4. The Punisher deserved much better than a 2.5D beat 'em up, like how Capcom did for SPAWN.

Someone like Insomniac seriously needs to get the rights to make a new Punisher game that's all open world just like Spider-Man imagine how crazy that would be having a main storyline but also having a random crimes throughout the city that the Punisher has to take care of not just what we saw in Spider-Man but make them more in-depth he can spot drug deals muggings robberies all kinds of different stuff he can get computer access to look into people of Interest maybe he can go into people's houses that are criminals and take care of them there he also needs to watch out for the police because if the police spot him they can go after him I mean if they made a open world Punisher game now it would be amazing and probably one of the best sellers

I love how in one game Spider-Man blatantly asks punisher to gun down a gang for him. I can't help but laugh at how stupid that is. Him and punisher have even fought on several occasions because of their different views on how to deal with crime
