Every character in the MK roster had been on a roster in one of the previous six games, or was an unplayable boss yet to be on a roster (so, Onaga), or was created for the game (Daegon and Taven). Tremor was only in a side game, so he didn't qualify.

He was going to be in MK trilogy but changed to Rain instead. Also the main guy (John Tobias), who came up with all the characters up to that point for Mortal Kombat left after Special Forces. Ed Boon probably didn't like the character from the start and really didn't like Special Forces. Tremor is a reminder to Ed Boon that he came from one of worst MK games to date. Fans still like him and remember Tremor because he was a palette swap ninja.

Ikr, in my opinion, he was better than scorpion, he was my main in MKX.

Hey let me give you something you see your boy Tremor (we are talking on the original timeline) was Shirai Ryu he left the clan joined a black dragon then he killed a guy name Lance he was in the first tournament but then after in MK2 Jax finds him knocks him out and imprisons him after Armageddon he escapes and he is the one of the only survivors

Huh? What? "The true MK fans know that this is bullshit"? No, that's not true, you don't know anything about MK history. I played all old MK games in 90's as a kid and I knew about MK history. Tremor is NOT a new character. He did exist in an old MK game. He debuted in MK: Special Forces for the PlayStation 1 only in 2000. Ed Boon's formerly co-creator, John Tobias really created Tremor and put him as a non-playable in a spin-off game, MK: Special Forces. He was originally planned in the console version of MK Trilogy, but he was scrapped due to time constraints and he was replaced in favor of Rain. His bio was given to Rain by mistake in the N64 manual for MKT. According to John Tobias, Tremor was a former member of the Lin Kuei and later he was part of Kano's group, plus he was a boss battle in one part of the game. However, he did not appear in any other MK game until now, because he was not a part of the main MK games (Hence why he was not in games such as MK Armageddon and he was playable in the Challenge Tower of the Vita version of MK9). When Ed Boon saw the petition that who wanted Tremor, he posted on his Twitter, "Damn! You guys REALLY want Tremor!" Tremor gained a big following, and many fans, who have requested for him to be in an MK fighting game for a few years. NRS mentioned two "classic" MK characters were DLC; Tremor and Tanya in the Kombat Pack 1 in NRS' channel.

@@TheODLawson23 I will admit you know your stuff. I've played mk for years and mainly mk9 and have never seen Tremor in the Challenge Tower. I was mainly talking about him being a new character of his own officially. His moves consisted of mainly Jax, smoke, and noob. The only time I've really seen him in action is in MKX due to the fact of him not being a playable character. I know back stories of majority mk figures and my main question is: Since Mortal Kombat Armageddon had every fighting character in the Mortal Kombat universe, then why wasn't Tremor included? They had enough room. I don't think he was suppose to be in the games at all until a later version of the game otherwise he would 100% be in Armageddon, which he was not. They even added Meat, and character that served very little purpose besides showing the intensity of the gore and just fun to play as. Tremor may have been discussed and accidentally leaked before but I don't believe his debut wasn't until MKX. The main reason why I say a new character because he is a new official character and that's why they dropped Meat, Murdock, Dormamu, and all the others not seen past Armageddon. They have no use to anything besides being fun to play. Technically though Tremor is not a new character due to the fact that the MK Special Forces showed "him" as you said, Rain was favored. There may have been teases of Tremor and even showing him but his true debut was MKX due to him actually being a playable character rather than someone either sampled, if he truly is in mk9, or being accidentally leaked or being a non playable. But since that hsppened. Tremor was just another "Faceless" character like reptile in mk1 who had the same outfit as scorpion. If you want to be extremely technical. I'll have to say his debut was in mk9. But I personally have not seen him in it. but him getting all the glory and truly coming out where we can actually play him anytime is MKX. hense being a "New Character" because he's been completely irrelevant and not much was ever said or even recognized by most till now. Look at all the comments. No one knew who he was. I will admit I completely forgot about MK Special Forces but I hardly played. But this is why he is a "New Character" even though he's been an older discussion.
