One of the more fascinating ones too. His two sides are even more distinguished than two-face. Of all the Arkham baddies, this is the one I feel most sorry for. Many of the others embrace their insanity, revel in it. This guy really struggles with his problem.

I think on the last Scarface's appearance instead of being a cursed dummy, the ventriloquist is just crazy. We can see that on the cartoons Scarface can shoot weapons, talk by, move without the ventriloquist and even teleport to him. while on gotham you can see the ventriloquist shooting the guns, controlling Scarface and talk for him.

LOL What? In ALL of the cartoons Scarface needs someone to move him around, he can't "shoot weapons, talk by, move without the ventriloquist and even teleport to him" AT ALL in anyway, that was just someone else TRICKING the Ventriloquist that the dummy is alive but he's not. It's all just a trick. The doll isn't magic at all in ANY of the animations at all, he NEEDS a person to do everything because the doll is just that, just a doll, it's ALL been the Ventriloquist. It's NEVER been a "cursed" dummy at all, The ventriloquist IS just crazy from the start as that's how it's ALWAYS have been. Don't know how you can even say that or how your comment got so many likes because it's so wrong in every way. Just stop.

@the-NightStar 5 жыл бұрын
@@tomsmurf4225 Not at all. You miss the point. The point is that as long as Arnold THINKS that Scarface is lobotomized, than he will be rendered harmless. Like, how do you not get it? Superman did that because as long as the Ventriloquist perceives Scarface to be dead, he is dead. And isn't that just really dark? It really shows the depth of his sickness that it's all it takes. You can smash Scarface into a million peices, but Arnold will be compelled to make or find another. You can take it away from him and he'll do the same. But let him KEEP it, and make him believe his brain no longer works, and he'll believe it. Moreover, as long as he perceives it, he'll also be partially lobotomized by proxy. He's just going to be stuck holding what he thinks is a living corpse.

I could easily see an interesting way to introduce the duo, when some local mobsters come to make a business proposition with Gotham's newest druglord. Like, they first meet Wesker, and (seeming rather unimpressed by his meek apperence) ask if he's the one running this opperation, only for him to reply with something like; "Oh, n-no, no. I'm just the messenger. You want Mr Scareface. I'll just let him know you're here." Then, as he goes into the office where Scarface supposedly works, the mobsters hear what sounds like a conversation between two people, before Wesker calls out to say they can come in. Then, as the mobsters enter the office, the camera slowly pans to Wesker holding the dummy, with one of the mobsters basically being all flabagasted, probably asking if this was a joke, or something, with Scarface basically showcasing what happens when you get on his bad side. As for if he ends up having whatever arc finished in that movie, or even a subsequent movie, I could see at one point, Wesker and the dummy get seperated, and as Batman approaches Wesker, the dummy (without moving his mouth, therefore kind of hinting that only Wesker can hear the dummy talk at that point) orders him to raise his gun against Batman. Then, with obvious back-n-forth bit with Batman trying to negotiate with Wesker to come quietly, with the dummy constantly barking orders at him, all the while, he's basically in such a state where he looks like he's about to break down, and then after a moment's pause, he lets out a sheepish "Forgive me.", before pointing the gun at the dummy and blasting him away with it. And afterwards, I can imagine Wesker being at shock at what he did and drops the gun, with Batman basically offering him a shoulder to cry on, and basically let it all out.

Scarface's classic look is the look from a typical "cosa nostra" mafioso look, directly from Al Capone (actually, Capone also had that nickname). For "The Batman" animated series, they redisegned most of the villains' look, so they gave Scarface a new kind of mobster look, and creators took the Al Pacino's look for Tony Montana, from 80s "Scarface" movie.

Gotham did a commendable job with its live action adaptation. I've always wanted to see the character adapted in live action ever since I saw him in the Batman animated series back in the 90's and fell in love with it as a Horror fan. I'd love to see one of the Batman movies at least pay homage to him in some way.

The Ventriloquist is an awesome character just based on how bat-shit crazy he is. It's why Batman has the best villains hands down. They're not evil because the plot demands them to be. They have some serious loose screws that make them unpredictable, dangerous, and believable when they dream up ridiculous schemes and are compelled to see them through.

In the twisted mind of Arnold Wesker, Mr. Scarface it's suppose to have an mind of it's own and a soul. That's why his second appearence in the animated series it's interesting, because Scarface it's the dark half of Arnold at a point he can't really be without him.

The most underrated Scarface scene is when you see the justice walking through the lobby, Scarface has the dots on his head and not the ventriloquist. Proving that even Lord Superman thought it was in his head so he only did it to the doll.

Kind of makes sense though The ventriloquist has multiple personality disorder so he only thinks that Scarface is alive but if he thinks that Scarface was lobotomized the Scarface personality should in theory act as though it was lobotomized
@the-NightStar
@the-NightStar 5 жыл бұрын
@@markusallen102 Exactly. That's what I was saying in another comment to someone who thought Superman was stupid or something. No, you're right, it's the idea that as long as he PERCEIVES Scarface as dead, he will be. You can smash Scarface into a million pieces but he can just be compelled to make or find another, or you can take it away from him and that won't work either. But let him KEEP it, drill two holes in it's head and TELL him that Scarface is now a living corpse, he'll follow suit and be stuck walking around with this doll that ironically now he thinks is just that, but he's still psychologically stuck with it. That's almost just as cruel. The Ventroloquist is literally an innocent man, and Superman is making a guy that has an illness forever be trapped in a sad delusion just to keep him docile.
