I changed my 328i's downpipe to catless some years ago. I currently have the JB4, which is set to map 2 (98RON here in Australia). I have stock exhaust and I can tell you, it's not loud at all. It has a very nice sound and does not smell of burnt exhaust. It did for a little while after I change to catless, but not for years. With the flap permanently open, thanks to JB4, cold starts are very nice. I will change to BM3 in the next few weeks.

Dude your car is sick! I am still stock at the time but someday I will get the gus to tune my car again. my previous engine N54 335i went bad. Smoke everywhere. I wish I had my channel then to capture it. Now I take it slow....even though I feel the need to tune boiling on my inside. Great content and you have made outstanding progress on your build. Maybe one day we can collab. Sound great BTW.

I would like to go with catless dp, but i do need to be able to pass inspection, with high flow catted you can still pass emissions right? Got stage 1mhd and would like to go stage 2+(would really love to shoot flame, max boost I'm hitting right now that ive seem is 20.3 lbs some where in neighborhood of 400hp and 430 to 440lbs torques.) Stomps mud hole in my 6.4L 500hp scat pack, n55 is nasty quick with tune, and paddle shifters ripping thru 8 speeds is awesome, does everything well so impressed with it. Never would have gotten my challenger if I drove the 335 first, would have tried to get used m5 competition.

Have a custom made Catless downpipe and it’s really not that loud and doesn’t smell bad on the inside (mind you still have the second cat and oem pipes just downpipe and muffler delete)

Is there a big difference with the burbles? I have bootmod3 with my n20 but only have a resonator delete with the stock exhaust. Have been wanting to go with a catted downpipe for emissions if I can get gunshots with it

So at the moment I have the stock exhaust on my car. I did however switched the burble from medium to aggressive on my MHD flasher and reflashed it. It is more noticeable but not to my liking.

@@darock441 check out my videos and listen to it to see if you like it. with aftermarket exhaust and aftermarket downpipe I don't even need to use the mhd burble tune. it has natural burbles which sound even better

get a stage 1 tune. takes 15 min to install/remove. adds a noticeable performance gain especially after 5k rpm where the stock engines kind of flat line.

There is a little drone in the lower rpm range if you are on the throttle but it’s not bad at all

@@ThicWhips Thanks for the reply, bro. I got an AA exhaust, and I am looking for a replacement. I knew I shoulda gone with AWE, but decided to save a few hundred bucks. I do think the AWE might be a little loud with a catless dp and midpipe, so I am also looking at the MPE and Dinan.

wow firstly you let your bonnet/ hood lay on the hinges then you apply a tad bit of force down next to the headlights. .. F30 hoods please, thanks.... Those who are looking at the 328i, don't waste your time and money, get the 340i B58 rather different worlds at an affordable extra bit.
