This has been a big headache for me too. I decided to prioritise duty generals because they are easier for me to obtain fragments for. I'm using mostly premium mayors where I have no chance of ascending beyond 6 stars. Which brings me to my other dilemma, whether I should stack them or ascend them. Very tough to choose when limited to 7 sub city slots.

I feel at times we should look at where our deficiencies are. Where can I invest and not lose it anytime in battle? I may not be victorious in battle but I can get back in the game more efficiently.

You’re looking at his buffs the wrong way. Those attacks were solos. You are more likely to be rallied, in rallies the attack buffs are going to be 3-500% higher. So that massively changes what buffs you need to be looking at

Ehh I agree, but I think one shouldnt discount that you are sitll debuffing a LARGE part of their attack. not debuffing the ENTIRE 50% of their buff? Not the end of the world,, and better then not debuffing it at all. I also believe one has to take into account human error or screwing up so to speak. What I mean by that is not realizing your sub generals are not set to defend for whatever reason perhaps you were swapping subs to upgrade or whatever the reason it definitely happens. You may also have a situation happen where you are using your sub generals to attack solo for whatever the reason intention or again not realizing they are set to do so. In those cases and while yes it would be human error i feel that is a advantage for Duty generals in general because its just always there barring a big screw up like swapping out Menshnikov or just a premium you may have (if early in its development especially) for a tavern duty guy due to build speed etc. So if the sub has no troops or a screw up then regardless of how good the debuff general is ascension wise, you wont be getting it. Sure is it perhaps a rare instance of that happening, maybe but rarity tends to end up not being rare circumstances in this game especially of late. Just my opinion on that for whatever its worth.

If you are not the top player at the alliance you need to go for duty. Even if the big one will rein you with only one troop he will bring his debuffs with him and it will 99% be higher then the non/low/mid coiners. In my case (k39 very low coiner) the bigeset (almost k45 but tank buff/debuff) always double or triple my debuffs.. so basicly it useless.
