There's a cap on general cultivating. The cap for cultivating using gold, is 300. You can get lucky and get 303 max with gold. Gold can get 1, 2, or 3 points for try. Same with gems on points gain. After 300, you have to use gems to gain. The hard cap on cultivating generals is 500. 499 is a cap too. 498 can still get gains. So if you are lucky,l and get 5 points at 498, you can get 503. Possibly more. It's chance. Hope this helps and isn't confusing 😆

Hi. *The wall general(lead/assistant) skill books are the only skill books that help with in city troops. The duty officer's (archer tower, keep, holy palace, etc.) do not activate skill books. So, putting skill books on Ban Chao is a waste. I made the same mistake before I got help from a more experienced player. Growing pains. *Free Players can get lv4 skill books from completing Vikings(best at hard) and from the relic chamber. *As a F2P, who you pick for you mounted general is critical. I recommend Martinus because he can not take a mounted attack skill book. Not being able to take the mounted attack book opens one more skill book spot to make Martinus a duel purpose general. For Martinus its recommended to put the PvP books for mounted and for his assistant put the monster hunting books. In the future, If you want to Use martinus in PvP you can either use this combo or make another assistant with additional pvp books. Typical setup. Martinus(mounted HP, Mounted Defense, March Size) +Assistant(monster mounted attack, monster mounted HP.....either(mounted march speed, Luck skill book or mounted monster defense) -I personally used the mounted monster defense because Martinus is my big monster hunter(b15 to world boss) -I got lucky getting Aethelfled, i use her with the luck skill book, bird of hurricane and the dragon luck ring. so i dont need to put a luck ring/luck skill book on Martinus and i can use him in PvP situations if i wanted. -Because i use Aethelfled so often, i use Nathanael Greene as her assistant....He saves a stamina. Because i upgraded my Mounted attack Blazon(lv7) first, the Aethelfled/Greene combo can kill up to a B15. I do get wounded. But once i get the mounted blazon set to level 15, i hope to stop getting wounded. Personally, i think Hannibal is the best assistant for Martinus. Reason i think he is the best is - you can get him from the relic. So while you are getting level 4 skill books, you can get his fragments. No need to use gold/gems in the tavern to get him. When you finish all his specialties, the 56% HP is such a great help for mounted troops.
