Back in 1977 I made a bottle with masking tape covering it in art class. But we used canned brown shoe polish to cover it. It made the masking tape look like leather. It was a cool looking project. @@carolyntaylor9830 Hi, I was living in Maitland, Florida at the time. I'm in Orlando, FL now. Did you do the same craft project back the the 1970's? I always associated it with the 70's. But I did get a wine bottle recently from a restaurant, I was thinking of trying it again for some silk flowers from my mother. I was thinking about asking at a few bars and restaurants for empty bottles to try some craft projects on. Then I thought I might sound like a loon asking for empties. I should finish the bottle I have then they can see I'm crafty, not nutty. 🥴😁 I don't drink alcohol, so there's no other way to get cool looking glass bottles. The glass Coca-Cola bottles are kind of expensive, and they all look the same, so I would only need one. I guess art teachers everywhere only have so many cheap, to free art projects for kids. Budgets for schools has always been tight. Yet we're sending trillions of dollars to foreign countries. I don't get it. Take care, stay safe, have a nice day. 👵🙂✌️🖖 😷 🙉🙈🙊 🌎☮️🕊️

@@BROUBoomer I don't drink alcohol either but a friend of mine does. They gave me 4 LARGE wine bottles. Would you like me to send you one? They are very heavy but I think that they would make a beautiful display. Just let me know and I will send you one. I will send you a picture of them if you want one.

@@carolyntaylor9830 Hi, Oh how sweet of you. But that's ok. I live in Orlando, FL, you wouldn't believe how many bars there are around here. I got the first two wine bottles from Red Lobster. If you order to go they ask you to sit at the bar to order and wait. That's when I saw all of those wonderfully shaped bottles and asked for empties, they don't recycle them. So I did the landfill a favor and rescued 2. Just haven't been able to afford to go back yet. My husband (R.I.P.) used to take me on my birthday. That's not going to happen again. So I'll have to save up for awhile. Thank you anyways, that was so kind to offer. Take care, stay safe, have a nice day. 👵🙂✌️🖖 😷 🙉🙈🙊 🌎☮️🕊️

Sorry I pushed the button accidentally before I was finished. I'm a preschool teacher and I like to assist my children as a Hands-On project for making some of these glass jars for their moms for mother's Day. I get other DIYs with my children and the parents went WOW over what I assist with them making. Thank you for a Great ideas and Great videos.

I would love to try some of these but you hold the products up fro 2 seconds, we cannot see is it paint, is it glue, is it mod-podge, etc we cannot even know what kind of string and straw things you are using!

You have many good ideas, but one I didn't see is to make a hole in the lid, screw it onto the jar, push a drinking straw through the hole and use it as a non-spill jar for cool drinks.

El gasto de lo que cuesta el material ,el tiempo ,que es mucho ,pues se hace en tiempo real ,no paga el resultado por tanta inversión ,a menos que te sobre el tiempo , y las ganas ,está muy bonito como se ve ,hecho por manos expertas , no así el que empieza , perdón ,pero no quiero desanimar a nadie y soy fan de labores a mano , y verlo hacer me fascina ,muy bonita demostración de creatividad
