It’s left hand drive these are mostly build around 1975.

@@overlandingrobin Hi Robin have you seen the work being done by Edison motors in BC Canada.. they have built their own Off road 750hp Electric hybrid logging truck....called Topsey.. Topsey is all electric but under its bonnet runs a smaller Caterpillar diesel generator. So its lighter more powerful cheaper to run and more efficient saving 30% fuel even running the genset to power the motors full time... But batteries allow regen braking and save the brakes ..store any excess power and allow it to recharge and run without external charging . Plus it's greener can run for hours electric only, needs less maintenance ... burns fuel cleaner and only when needed, because electric motors allow it to run at its Stoichiometric optimum. The only relationship to propulsion is via power cable's. Junk gearboxes, exhaust transmissions, clutches and diffs. as the motors are in the Axel's.

Haha yes I sometimes film with the from camera so I can see what I’m doing, all my cars are LHD. That throttle is similar to cruise control haha, just more prehistoric. Set it at the tempo you want to go and it keeps it at that :)

Throttle was for PTO-control. Also civil-specific, given all got PTO (but not all got PTO-winch as well, is having a visible 'N' position on the T-case indicator. Military only showed High/Low (but got the same 'hidden' Neutral inbetween).

Ive got a Range Rover classic as well. This thing is definitely more capable though

All civil had the large radiator (same as TGB20, plus military for Malaysia & any other clients in tropics). My guess is the 24v setup was either ordered specifically (for both easier wiring & military spare parts), or got retrofitted later on, at the same time as the entire body got retrofitted (seems alu-zinc top till bottom (first indicator is missing left-side footstep, second indicator is that it *seems* the lower panel edges are more 45 degree roundish than 90 degree square). Since the alu-zinc body panel retrofits were all done at the same Military Verkstatten as the original rear-body construction (Volvo only supplied cab-frame's, no rear bodies whatsoever, neither to civil nor military clients), other things might have been upgraded at the same time as well, but my guess is still having 24v right from the start, on specific order. (not necessarily taken from the civil production line/spec's either; civil C306 firetruck frames were also taken from the same production line/batch as the Malaysian frames, the frames being prepared for both LHD and RHD) No hydraulic powersteering here. (I have the first-ever sample once done by Tatanka, sourced from an old & rotten civil/municipality C303, retrofitted into a C306 firetruck (belt-driven, metal tank on top, under top/front engine hatch, second generation was crank-driven, metal tank on top of pump, current version is belt-driven again, plastic tank under top/front engine hatch) The 24v volt gauge probably wasn't done by Volvo, but just for the rally, as no other civil 12v never got one either, AFAIK. Would be cool to establish brand/model (and era/year) though, for anyone else who want to retrofit something historically correct. Rear tow bar isn't typically civil either, it is missing the secondary horizontal support beam, on both side attached to the frame.
