Living Big In A Tiny House

Living Big In A Tiny House

Күн бұрын

Working for 15 years as an architect in Hong Kong, Bobbie is no stranger to small space design. After returning home to New Zealand and going through a separation, she decided to put her design and build skills to the test to create a wonderful tiny house for her and her two children.
This home is filled with clever design ideas, such as a raked wall with bay windows to increase the usable interior space and lots of innovative storage solutions.
Deigning a tiny house which is ideally suited to family life is a challenging task and Bobbie has created a beautiful home which perfectly caters to the needs of both her and her children.

I always love seeing the different ways that people utilise space in their tiny homes. Designing a house that works for a family with young children can be especially challenging, and Bobbie has done a fantastic job of creating a home where all the family needs are met. I especially love the very clever design of the children's loft! I hope you enjoy this video tour! Thanks for watching. Love Bryce & Rasa

It's another winning video, Bryce and Rasa! From the outside Robbie's home is very unassuming, then from the first glance at the inside, it changes into an open, un-cramped, warm, well thought out design and different from any other I've seen. What a gem that bathroom window was, to fool your professional eye, me too, for that matter. Great ideas, Great video. : ) Thank You. Ten Million subs around the corner, eh?

@@ghostship7823 - not everybody has a friend who can lend money, and if one does not have cash, one has to borrow money with interest. Also, most people pay for their parking/location. Tiny home makes sense in warm climate, build without a main contractor and parked on the land you own, or family's that is nice enough to let you park for free. Otherwise, I dont see where the saving is. Also, the"freedom of moving" is great for a family without children. Kids need stability of school, friends and other social connection. Safety is also an issue. I think that tiny homes are great for young people as a temporary housing, and later in life - as vacation homes.

Bobbie is such a sweet, almost shy lady, but she has taken in account her kids and what they wanted in their home too. I love that! Their bedroom is amazing, how cool that their beds fold up like that. It sure was huge or looked huge on camera in their room. I love that mom made sure they had space to play. The tool box in the kitchen is genius! Makes a great place to store things and I love that she made sure they all had a place to eat at or for the kids to do artwork at the table. The carpet in the kids room was awesome as is the wallpaper on the one side of the house. Bryce you are always a breath of fresh air, you are always so courteous and always say the right things. It also has a quite personal story attached to it which makes it quite authentic. So much of YT is about influencers doing hidden advertisements. This one is more of a visit inside a person's home, and is particularly interesting because it also tells a story about how an experienced architect on a budget works. What a Lady. Thank you. It means a lot to be invited into a life where I can learn how people cope with how to do it. She is a talent but the best is taking her whole family into consideration. Felt like coming home

Wonderful to see once again a tiny house that is beautifully created in a way to inspire and care for the people who call it home. A tiny house can be designed to perfectly match the needs of it's inhabitants and that is such a great wonderment! We loved the open feel of this home and the loft for the kids was terrific! Great tiny house tour! It is such an HONOR TO SEE INSIDE AND TOUR CREATIVE & INSPIRING TINY HOUSES!

So glad you enjoyed the tour of this home. And you're so right, that tiny homes can (and need) to be designed around the unique needs of the people who live in them. Thanks so much and I can't wait to see updates on your own tiny house! :)

@@livingbig our house is coming along nicely. This week our rockwool insulation is going in. :-) We are so excited to see all the planing & designing of our home really beginning to manifest. We will definitely keep you posted. Along with tiny house build work, we are busy organizing our belongings as we prepare to "go tiny". Our mission through this whole journey is to find & feel the wonder and real joy of it all. We honestly feel sooooo soooo very excited! We are about to start a whole new chapter as we go tiny in our new home on wheels and we are excited to share our journey with everyone.

What a lovely lady who knew exactly how she wanted her home for her and her children, I dont think these tiny home owners realise how inspirational they are to others, not just from your choices in the construction and design of your tiny home, but also from your choice in the accompanying lifestyle that flows on as a result of your tiny home decisions. Thank u so much for sharing yr private spaces with us...and Bryce, as usual - orsum job mate! 👍😊🥰💯

I LOVE the kid's loft!! Those beds are so clever!!! I LOVE the shub!! I love the toolbox too . . . beautiful ceiling and floor, the tall doors . . . what don't I love about this tiny home . . :OD What she said at the end, really resonates with me. THAT WALLPAPER IS BEAUTIFUL!!! And I love how her designs are based on the kids needs and safety like she chose not to have movable parts and the bathroom basin are sensor tap. But my favorite parts are the climbing grips and monkey bars across the room like damn... Even though the house is small she really put a lot of fun activities for her children. YOU'RE THE BEST MOM MISS BOBBIE! 💕💪🙌✨
