The Witch's ability specifies "any time you acquire a card..." so it can be used multiple times in a single turn if you are acquiring multiple cards with Banned Books. You'd simply need to draw them 1 sequentially so that you could carry out the Witch's ability for each card individually.

They ran out quickly at GenCon! We played one round at the demo table, just to check it out ... it was great fun! The book titles on the cards are pretty funny, too! Looking forward to picking this one up when it's available!

I love worker placement that has variable worker spots, which makes the game less solvable. Seems very AP prone as a game, which with my group I have gotten more used to. I have at least a couple friends who would really appreciate the theme (as do I). Overall I think I really would like it.

Nice playthrough, why did Zee get 16 points for stability??

Should be 12 by my count. (Unless I missed a rule like the first person to 16 books gets 16 points or something silly) Which means there was only one point in it.

If I understand the rule correctly, he gets 7 points for the bottom row since they are all stable by virtue of being on the "floor". Then he got 5 points for the shelves on the second row that were on top of a first floor shelf (the last 2 were not stable). Then finally got 4 for the top row books that were on top of both a first and second row shelf (the 1st one is not stable), which gets us to the 16.

lordof42 thanks for the info. I don't have the rules. I assumed it had to be a rectangle. Edit: found online rulebook. Must be rectangle, at least 2x2.

I don't think that is correct, you only score for a solid X by Y rectangle where the entire width has to touch the ground. They both only had a 3 high by 4 wide section for 12 points. Zee also could have done 5 wide x 2 high, but that would only be 10. At least that is clearly how Zee explained the rules at the start. Zee still would have won by 1 point. Close game!

Just double checked the bgg rules to be sure. Page 5, you have to score only your biggest contiguous rectangle that touches the ground. They both had 3x4 for 12 points. Pretty sure Zee mentally registered the size of the cards and how 3x4 made what looked like a square and his brain made it 4x4. 16 points for stability is only possible with a 2x8.
