Here is the complete speech of ex-President and Finance Minister Shri Pranab Mukherjee at Teen Murti Bhavan in New Delhi on September 25, 2019. An excellent speech, recalling the various interactions he had with Dr. Swamy and how Dr. Swamy is never afraid to speak his mind. One of his valuable contributions, agreeing to support Intellectual Property Rights brought him the most criticism but the Pharma industry is strong and vibrant because of that.

He was sidelined by Rajiv Gandhi . His crime was, he wanted to become PM after unfortunate demise of Indira Gandhi. Sonia brought him back to center stage as Cabinet Minister. Don't know how it happened. Hoping someday it will be revealed.

He must have been made PM of india since he is the senior most minister among the ministers. He is knowledgeable and powerful person. His contribution as FM is immense and appreciable. We respect him definitely.

I am surprised that why Sub Swamy chose him. I believe he signed as agreement with Switzerland govt in 2011 that Indian govt would not ask for details of past n current account holders but people who opened accounts post 2011 only. This was said to be done without ratification by parliament.

It was Jaitley, not Pranab Mukherjee who signed the document, Dr. Swamy has said against it often in public domain and criticised Modi govt decision on Black money

Really surprising that the congress did not keep Pranabda at its helm, people like him nd Narsimharaoji would have changed the fate of this presently decaying family run enterprise, it would still have been a political party to reckon with.
