Hav Yashvir Sehrawat is ex special forces operator from the famous ghost battalion of Indian army - 9 Para SF . He joined the Indian Army in 1988 ,while serving in Infantry Battalion ( the grenadiers) he got interested in volunteering for the Para Special forces. In 1992 , He cleared his probation and earned the prestigious maroon beret . from being major jacob s' trainer to serving in the United Nations and being part of NSG . He has served the nation against many odds.

I'm from Palampur, hometown of Maj Sudheer Walia, Cap Saurabh Kalia and Cap Vikram Batra. But for me icon is always Major Walia. Heads and shoulders above the rest without any doubt. Salute to his father Subedar Rulia Ram Walia who groomed him from a young age.

Major Sudhir Walia aka Rambo , Our youth should learn about him. The real legend of 9 Para (SF) . He was the first Indian Army officer to speak at the Pentagon and ranked 1st in the Special Forces Opreator Compt in U.SA. His parent unit was 4 JAT

My father operated with Walia uncle and Jasrotia. In fact dad was Jasrotia uncles team commander. Both these officers are true legend in every sense.

My father also gave his probation in 1991 and he told me that there were around 300 volunteers but in the end there were only 6 left who clear the probation

The best thing about all these personnel of SF including Officers and men are that when you interact with them they are attentive,don't brag , look normal but you can always feel something special about each one of them , most disciplined soldiers we see in Indian defense service, immense pleasure to work with these elitest of the lot.
