Professor Undertree discusses “How to Read like a Writer” by Mike Rose in a two-part video series specific for her college class at Irvine Valley College. This, the first video, covers the main ideas and key points of the article itself. Be aware, this is a long video at 25 minutes to adequately analyze Rose’s 15-page article. The second video covers key vocabulary for the article.

This video lecture will be most advantageous to those who have read the article and / or even have a copy during the presentation as specific references will be given. See link above for article download. It is designed to accompany a specific essay assignment in a college class although anyone who has read it should find it beneficial.
