I played red fall (for free) after 21 kilotons video on it. It’s a true dumpster fire of mashed together mechanics, terrible gun design, poor characters, shallow story, and bullet-sponges enemies. I got to the boss fight and the boss kept doing an AoE attack that pushed me off the last objective. I couldn’t even finish the damn thing. Losing Arcane Austin won’t hurt any gamers.

I haven't played Redfall but the gunplay looks clunky and stiff. Popped up in my recommendations. Good vid, looking forward to what you do next 👍

Definitely was. Some of it could be adjusted but it never feels 100% right. Oh gosh, I'm starting to get recommended? That's so cool. I'm glad you liked this video. Feel free to check out my previous ones. Hopefully they'll be just as fun

5:45 artists usually don't write, writers usually don't do the art. If the art is all good then the artists did their job, if the writing sucks the writers didn't do theirs. They're separate responsibilities most of time.

Fair enough. I was meaning more in general. Put less effort into the graphics and put more effort into the story and writing

I'm a little curious to know what you're referring to here. I get the feeling, too, that there is a fixation on realism in graphics that extends and intrudes over the contemplation of other game aspects. Does this exist in the player alone? Is it just a crutch for marketing? Or perhaps its the the investors perception of customer interest. The specifics are something to ponder.

@@AudibleApathy in some ways i think it's definitely a selling point in the game. something the marketing team can throw out as a buzzword to maybe get people talking about the game. i know for me personally photorealism doesn't mean much if the game is super fast paced. like if im running and gunning or throwing fireballs, i dont really care how realistic a rock looks or a torch. but if it's a slower game, maybe like no man sky, where exploring and wandering aimlessly for hours on end is part of the objective of the game, then photorealism is a more welcome addition.

i am not one to say you can play a game wrong that being said i feel like this is a game that HAS to be played with friends. and only with friends. you have to have idiots that make everything and anything fun making it from a meh game to a campy vampire fun fest. or maybe me and my friends are just psychotic. 50/50
