Excavate a natural shelter. Stone fireplace with chimney. Sleeping in the wild. Survival skills

The video is about an overnight stay deep in the wilderness
I found a gigantic stone as accommodation and half dug it under tunter and slept there. For the heat, I built a stone fireplace with a chimney so that the night is warm!
If it would rain I would use a tarp tent to cover the nature shelter
To eat I grilled 1 kilo steak.
I want to be a part of nature, not a spectator who just comes to visit. Not a tourist because we are all tourists in nature. People visit nature but are not part of it. Being a part of nature means being completely naked, without modern technology, with nothing, a true human animal in the wild. We have lost our ability to live like this in nature, so we have to apply technologies that make us tourists in nature. But if we relearn old skills, we can go out into nature and become one with that environment, a part of it. Only then will we become human again!

Feeding dogs first is not necessarily smart. You are the leader, you eat first. This helps avoiding begging behaviour and being overly protective of their food. Anything else can be quite stressfull for you and the dog.

@@diggie9598 I'm 70 years old and have had German Shepherds all my adult life. I always feed my dogs first. When they are done eating they just crash out by the back door, waiting for their post meal walk. It's all about training the dog's expectations and being consistent. My dogs know what they can and cannot have. What causes stress is inconsistent behaviour by the humans and mixed messages.

Girlfriends have called me "Asbestos Fingers" for the same reason. I also frightened a whole backyard Halloween party by leaning waaaay in to blow on the campfire others were unsuccessfully trying to start, wherein I got the logs burning all right, along with my cheap costume pope hat, to which I responded all cool and indifferent while people panicked and lost their s--t. That's a beautiful location! I wonder if anyone has detected and sniped those bedrock crevices for gold?

Nice job. But to the layperson watching be careful when choosing a boulder for a shelter. Often times the hollowed out spaces below boulders are hollow because of water runoff. They tend to get very soggy, even some standing water whenever it rains. So sleeping under it can get you soaked if you don't pay attention to the signs.

Bro, two major things I'm doing differently. 1. If you're clearing the ground to make it flat, I get it, but put more leaves back to make the ground under you softer but most importantly, it's a layer between you and the ground, it saps your body heat. 2. If you're bringing all that stuff, bring a fire blanket put it opposite you so the fire reflects the heat back to you and it blocks out the cold wind. Other than that, nice video and cool dog.

Hello Kostas💪👍👍 I see you and Bonny in the rugged mountains again enjoying the nature and making another great camp shelter. Bonny looks happy, fit and healthy thanks to your care. That was a lot of work moving boulders and building the fireplace and chimney, but in the end it worked perfectly. Never ceases to amaze me how you can build shelters in places most would pass up and they turn out great. What a nice fire, from the potatoes and onions tossed in the coals to that giant steak cooked on a rock, that was a delicious looking meal and the warmth of the fire must have felt good. Great video, well filmed, thanks for the work bringing us along on this adventure. You and Bonny stay well, see you next time. Enjoy!

@@peilethan That's not true, that's what the marketing industry wants you to believe.. Eating only meat is good. Of course it's better to eat a variety of foods, but just eating meat is not bad. Many people live only with a carnivore diet and it provides great health benefits. Helps with bowel problems, muscles, bones etc. Most people who only eat meat are big and strong. People have lived for centuries only on meat. Scandinavians or Vikings lived only on meat and grains. Here in the Balkan region we cannot imagine a dish without greasy meat. We eat bread and meat every single day, vegetables are only a side-dish that is optional. There are two secrets to this: 1 you gotta be active and keep moving, if you're active you can eat anything you want without health issues. And 2, make sure the meat is good quality, although that's hard to do and almost impossible to get clean pure quality meat anymore. Eat what you want my friend, don't let them pollute your mind with these nonsense ideas that you'll die from calories because of eating meat. This is not McDonalds, this is a proper steak. And also, cold environments really ask for fat in your food so you can have energy. This fat doesn't stay in the body, it gets spent on heating the body and being used for activities.

@@twentytwo138 lol. you absolutely misunderstood my point. if this was a "survival shelter" as the video title suggests. this man would die. quickly. as in real survival situations, where you are stranded/lost, the amount of available calories is pretty much always more scarce. you don't have that giant pile of meat available in order to fuel the body for all that work he does. lol. I am absolutely a carnivore. and I love bread. vegetables on the side.

I'm going to put my ignorance on full display here. While I get the satisfaction you must get from creating your shelters, I don't understand why else you do it. You hike in, you build, you spend a night, and then you leave. Do you ever spend an extra few days to just chill out? I'm not being critical, I just truly don't get it. And yes, I love watching your videos and greatly admire your skills. 🥰

Some do it for the videos, some do it for the experience while others do it to have somewhere to bug out to. I'm sure in this video alone, the gentlemen spent atleast 4 days out in the woods before he needed more rations.

Practicing/learning a new skill, satisfaction of using your hands to build something like that and be able to camp in it, bug out camp, hiking rest stop, weekend project for people who like to bushcraft. I personally like watching these videos because how creative they are, it's just cool 😎

Hi Kosta, Great to see you again my friend! Wow, Bonny is really growing! She's really forming a lot of muscle, losing her puppiness. What a beautiful setting. The moss covered rock with the small cave looks so comfortable, especially with the fireplace roaring. I really have to find somewhere nearby that I can build a small stealth shelter and do some city camping throughout the summer this year. I need to have some downtime and relax more. I hope you're doing great and are safe there with all the craziness going on in Ukraine. Such a sad situation in so many ways. Please keep safe my friend! Matt - Toronto, Canada
