Hi Chris.. totally agree that INDEX/MATCH is makes for super flexible lookups, as well as the new XLOOKUP. Just for fun, you can get a little more flexibility out of VLOOKUP with CHOOSE, as in: =VLOOKUP($B2,CHOOSE({1,2},$I$2:$I$11,K$2:K$11),2,0) The above can be copied down and to the right and will pick up the desired columns. So, just another way to get there, although admittedly not as flexible as your INDEX/MATCH solution which can also react to changes in column header names. Hey man I have a question Im working with probabilities and I want to make use of colours. If I for example colour one cell red, I want the amount used in a formula to become -10 if a cell turns green I want to multiply 10 with a factor that is in another cell I think it will look something like IFgreen then 10*E2 IFred then -10 I hope you understand my question Thanks in advance
