Yes it was!

We did not experience any issues with mosquitoes. We were there in October when it was still hot during the day and warm at night.

I would definitely recommend this room type. The views and premium service were worth the money. The private beach access makes finding a place to relax stress free. Plus the waiters that bring you food/beverages on the beach is a plus. The only issue with the room is that it wasn't as new/clean as I expected. Some signs of use on the couches (stains) the jacuzzi could have had better drainage and be a bit cleaner. The plunge pool also had a few floating critters but it's outside so it's to be expected I guess. Those few issues didn't spoil it for me I would just choose a newer property in the future for this reasons. As far a s the noise, we didn't experience any. It was quiet and relaxing. We were there Tuesday through Friday. The guests number did pick up on Friday so I am not sure what a weekend stay would be like. We had 1-2 guest staying in the swim up pools below us, but there wasn't much noice. The resort also has rules about noise after 10pm. Everything pretty much shuts down at 10 pm. Also we were no where near the main pool. When we did go over there to eat it was a lively atmosphere. The pool was filled and everyone having a good time. Our room was so far from the main pool that we couldn't see it or hear anything. There are swim up pools below the rooms so hopefully your will be unoccupied or have quiet guests like when we went. To answer your question about the plunge pool, it was cold. We didn't fully get in though. I put my legs in, but we didn't feel like scooping out the bugs. Thanks Tay! You can’t request a specific room number but you choose the room type. For example Beach Front in my opinion give the best views where as beach view rooms are the second best. Anythings after that would have partial and/or obstructed views of the beach from what I have seen of other reviews and my own stay at the resort.

That’s one area where I feel like the resort fell short. We never saw a butler, however all of the staff was super attentive. If you don’t see your butler day one, I’d ask about it. All of the staff was attentive and helpful so we didn’t notice we didn’t see the butler until it was time to leave. I recommend treating yourself to the spa services for your birthday if that’s your thing. The massages were worth every penny and the hydrotherapy was invigorating. We applied a 15% or 20% discount code for spa services that I believe we got on the site by joining the Excellence loyalty club.

@@humanfairy Sorry…EXCELLENCE PUNTA CANA and EXCELLENCE EL CARMEN are both adult only. I was thinking about FINEST which has an Adult only version and family version of the resort.

The private beach had a butler to take our order on the beach and the butler that brought room service did set up the food in our room each time. I’m sure they would set up dinner on the terrace as opposed to the coffee table. The fridge in the room and the room is stocked with beverages that were refilled daily or as requested.

If I go back I would definitely pay for the Excellence Club benefits again. I may film a video explaining how the benefits made our stay so much more enjoyable. In regard to excursions, we didn’t do any. We opted for spa treatments at the resort and utilizing the private beach that comes with the Club benefits.

@@TravelCheckIns Yes, we actually took a trip there in October of last year. We enjoyed the resort but not as much as we enjoyed Excellence Playa Mujeres. Overall, the resort was great. Our one complaint is that the rooms need to be taken care of more by the staff.

@mrspann00 I agree with you about the rooms. In my video I expressed my issue with build up on the shower walls, light staining on the furniture, feeling the need to wash the hot tub prior to using it and bugs in the plunge pool. I’m glad to hear your feedback. I’m currently investigating another property to visit in 2024. I will check out Excellence Playa Mujeres.

@@TravelCheckIns I am looking at this hotel for my next vacation with my wife. However, I am confusing on Ocean view vs. Ocean Front. Was you room Ocean view or Ocean front? Some other video tells the room type in your video as Ocean Front but title of your video is Ocean view. Can you please let me know?

@@jmyoungnak9708 Hi JM, our room was “beachfront”. Here is the exact naming of the room for the resort website: Excellence Club Beachfront Honeymoon Two-Story Rooftop Terrace Suite with Plunge Pool. I believe the ocean-view rooms have sightline to the beach but aren’t beach front. When I researched ocean view it looks like the were not directly facing the beach. Our room faced the beach with no buildings or anything obstructing the view.

How many did I get? I didn’t pay much attention to it as I don’t drink it. Either way, it’s unlimited with the room I booked and throughout the resort.
