M.Williams Sky Photography Congrats! Well... I loved both. It depends what you’re after with your honeymoon. Beach was better at SMB as it’s a totally different location. Service was about the same. Food was similar. Daytime drinks better at SMB but dinner drinks better at EPM. EPM was more lively and had more to do, both day and night. I would go back to both, but prefer EPM just slightly. That's the resorts rule for the pool bar and surrounding outside bars. We resumed shots at the martini bar prior to dinner.

HI Rory! Most get pretty dressed up at night. Women wear mainly summer dresses. Men need pants, collared shirt and closed toe shoes! Shorts are allowed for men at 3 restaurants that are outside. Hope this helps. The full dress code is on the excellence site. Or ask your travel agent!

Lisa Burke hello! When planning for tips I usually budget between $50-75 per day. I normally tip $1 or $2 every other drink, but if I’m in the pool without money for a while, then I’ll make sure to tip them in a large sum before they leave for the day. If you know you will have the same person everyday and they are a rockstar, fee free to start the day of with $20 to make your life easy. If you booked with a travel agent, they may have a tip breakdown they plan to give you when you get your documents! Also, the workers think $2 bills are lucky, so I always get a bunch from my bank beforehand. Have fun 😎

Chesler Lindsey I haven’t, but it’s next in my list because I get asked this a lot! The biggest difference is the beach, most else is very similar. Honestly, If you’ve never been to either, i would pick the cheaper one (which is usually ERC)

Dustin King ERC doesn’t have a new one, but there is a small one that’s been there for a while! However, I personally wouldn’t call it as much of a lounge- more a store.

Whitney Teeter majestic doesn’t come close to the excellence level! I think it’s all about how much you want to spend.

Memories and Mojitos Travel uhhhh I don’t mind the money I just love the plunge pool on the roof at Majestic.

We throughly enjoyed the food at EPM. Unico was slightly better, but I loved all the restaurant options EPM offered. The poolside pizza at EPM wins 🙂 it’s a very well rounded resort

@@TheAlh22 honesty everything was so great. Its currently my favorite resort. I really loved the live music in the plaza at night. See Cesar at the martini bar each night before dinner. Tapas (flavor market) was my favorite restaurant and we found out that many people skip that place! Definitely eat the pizza at the pool. So amazing. Enjoy!
