Lily Tomlin is in a class by herself as a performer. Truly, truly one-of-a-kind. She and Jane Wagner make an incredible team both on stage/tv/film and in life! Brava!

True that!!!!! Is it the cliche of one being different from what society expects from us that we become extremely sensitive to our surroundings, examining everything and, just sometimes this condition, takes us to another perception of our universe and hopefully a little bit more able to navigate the chaos of status quo ,or maybe its intestinal gases

GREAT!! Does anybody know where I can buy the entire production? I've only heard it was made but never "really" released. I've never seen it available to buy. Tak.

Four people aren’t smart enough to understand that it doesn’t have to be a laugh a minute just because it’s Lily Tomlin. In fact, it shouldn’t be. This isn’t that kind of material. This requires full attention.

I am thinking about becoming Lily Tomlin--but being Princess Melita Bonaparte (the Most Beautiful Woman in the World) is a full time job.

British person here - want to get the full translation and struggling with accent a bit at 5:43, she says something like "He was gay seeing that hurt him" but it doesn't make sense to me - anyone know?
@pansieisawesome Жыл бұрын
late reply! She meant "he [the bystander] was gay, and seeing [the man yell about a '"'fairy"'] hurt him" because he was indirectly exposed to homophobia. yeah some parts of the conversation are a little confusing but I think that's part of what makes this scene so special, how textured Tina and Brandy are as characters. They're imperfect and realistic so they say the words improperly or jumble their phrases sometimes. everything feels so specific, from the words to the way they touch their hair or the meandering topics or how tina stares off in thought

@@pansieisawesome Thank you!! That's a great interpretation, I really love this scene :)

The line is "He was gay, see... and that hurt him."

The "Bag Lady" humor is strictly Reagan-era, and in light of social developments of that time, highly offensive. As much respect as I have for Ms.Tomlin, I find that character hard to forgive.

I suspect that it may not B just Ms Tomlin that U have a hard time 4 giving?

How on earth can anyone find this piece of genius "highly offensive." This is a brilliant piece of art and a valuable contribution to society as a whole.
