We're excited to share a video about our partnership with Akagera National Park, part of the African Parks Network. We provided the park with two specially designed electric motorcycles as a more sustainable transport option.
In the video, Nsengiyaremye Fidel from the Rhino Monitoring Unit at the park highlights the impact the motorcycles have had in the months since they were introduced. He comments that as well as reduced noise pollution and environmental benefits, the motorcycles have been easy to use and offer a lot of power to move through mountainous terrain. This is essential for the effective monitoring and tracking of high-value species like rhinos, who remain at risk of extinction through poaching (Africa still loses one rhino a day).
