Saree guard has always been a part of Ninja 1000, 650 and 300...even on my Versys...its not Kawasaki's choice, its due to the regulations...I had removed mine once the regn inspection was completed...I'm sure everyone would have done the same.

Here in the UK, it was already the SX, they added the Ninja ! As for the mufflers, I too was a fan of the old ones, but we're the exception. The new one has resulted in the 'sore thumb' look but also a minor weight imbalance But in every other way, this 2020 bike feels like a completely different machine to previous generations. I sprayed the stainless steel matte black and now it's perfect

Nice review . Might well become the top seller SUPERBIKE from Kawasaki in India, dethroning the Z900. At this price , no other bike on planet with such level of safety, comfort, electronics and Superlative Performance. Genuine 250kmph machine.

After watching lot of reviews from international reviewers...was waiting for the indian version under our condition before I can take a decision..Now I seriously believe that this could be my next upgrade... I saw a pic of the bike with a sleek aftermarket slipon exhaust, in which the bike looks sportier than the ugly stock can which looks likes like a artillery gun barrel...

I have the 2018 Ninja 1000 ABS. From new it was equipped with Metzeler M7RR tires, including a 190/55 rear. Now those are replaced with Bridgestone S22, again using the 190/55. It is a major improvement with more front end confidence, and the bike tracks corners as if on rails. Two weeks ago I visited Dave Moss for his setup expertise, he did a fantastic job of balancing spring preloads and damping. Superior handling with still very good comfort and bump compliance, what is not to like? Nothing!

While it's a fantastic sports tourer, it only works if you're doing serious mile crunching. Otherwise bikes like the Street Triple and Z900 are better to have fun and some touring as well. 240 Kgs is nuts, it's Ducati Multi 1260 and Bmw GS 1250 territory.

For me the sports tourers and adventure motorcycles makes perfect sense for Indian road condition. Rode a zx-6r and ninja 400 a while back, they feel so tainted for conditions. On a circuit the sport or superbikes feels right at home but on a city ride you cant be a hooligan all the time and your pillion will complain about their burning bottom soon.

E G Many in-line four-cylinder engines produce a high frequency vibration at certain points in the rev range. It’s a mild feeling, but something you can notice. Not really a significant problem

There really wasnt much heat to be felt, even when getting back in to the city in the evening. But traffic volume these days is unnaturally low, so we can't make a definitive statement on that. As for exhaust volume, well, you can hear it for yourself in the video. Sounds loud enough to me, but I tend to dislike unnecessarily loud aftermarket exhausts.

I own Ninja 1000 2019 and I guess I've been lucky to never complain about the heat. Obviously in the city limits you'll feel the heat but not to an extent where you'll complain (considering it is a big litre engine). On the highways though - where this bike really belongs - you'll barely feel the engine heat. The temp rarely shoots up beyond half the gauge. The 2019 model has dual exhaust which sounds amazing, smooth humming in the lower RPM and the violent howl post 7k. Truly awesome!

How did you manage to 'feel' the seat height more than 820mm? How much higher did you feel? 830mm?

When you ride as many bikes as we do, for as long as we have, you start to understand what certain numbers on the spec sheet should feel like. To me, this feels like more than 820mm. Further, Kawasaki's International sites list it at 835mm - which sounds more like it. Saree guard and front number plate aside there should be no differences in the bike that is sold here to the ones sold overseas. Nevertheless, we quote the numbers listed on the Kawasaki India website
