Pau Torres believes Unai Emery gets the best out of him as a player. The defender joined Aston Villa last summer, linking up with his former Villarreal manager once again at Villa Park. In Spain, the pair won the UEFA Europa League together. And they are hoping to land more European honours this season, as Villa attempt to progress in the UEFA Europa Conference League.

Pau is an integral part of this team, his importance to Unai’s style is self evident, I think he performs better when Kamara is on the pitch as they both turn defence in to attack in the blink of an eye, we missed Pau when he was out as we miss Kamara now UTV

Love Pau, one of my fave players. Always super focused and his passing of the ball is sublime. We really missed him when he was injured.

Pau seems happy & settled here at Villa,also coming to england after only playing in spain before. Pau has adjusted to the changes fast & has performed very well in his debut season,i'm a big fan of his & another great signing by Unai & Monchi..... up the mighty Villa!!!! 😊

Never going to happen. Torres was bought in to replace Mings. The injury just sped up the process.

That’s a bit harsh mate. It’s his first season in the toughest league in the world. He will continuously improve and he has had to play with a different back 4 almost every week. Support the team!
