Jojo Siwa's new song 'Karma' was originally recorded back in 2012 by singer/songwriter Brit Smith. There's even a music video that was unreleased which has since gone viral on TikTok. Page Six's Astra exclusively sat down with Brit to find out why she never initially released the song, how Miley Cyrus was rumored to have passed on it, and her thoughts on Jojo's version.

I'm pretty sure Brit Smith's team probably purchased the exact same rights back in 2012. The authors can allow as many people as want to record their song. Only they can limit who can record/release it.
