Exquisit example of modesty and humility. 8 hundreds, 27 50s, over 5000 runs, 434 wickets, 23 5 or more than 5 wickets. Incredible. He got 279 top batsmen. Economy rate under 3 in ODIs. 🏏🏏🏏

For information of today’s generation & for that interviewer also KAPIL Dev nikhang would have played 131 test matches on trot without missing a single test due to injury but for being dropped for one test after his blunder shot in test match !!! Salute the greatest cricketer India has ever produced who did not miss a single test match in his life due to injury!!!!

Indian cricket is classified before Gavaskar (BG) and After Gavaskar (AG). Those who scored centuries against West Indies, Australia, England,New Zealand, Pakistan and South Aftrica are great batsmen. Gavaskar in this list is top of the tree followed by Sachin Tendulkar.

As a Pakistani we have extreme respect for Mr. Sunil Gavaskar and Sir Viv Richards because Imran Khan has always spoken extremely fondly about them. Imran goes at lengths to speak about Gavaskar’s impeccable timing and technique. Imran has always maintained that there never ever has been a team with a bowling attack of 5 fast bowlers, bowling from 6 1/2 feet and Gavaskar handled it all like knife through butter. Maybe Mr. Gavaskar expected that kind of response from Kapil Dev ( his junior ) and didn’t got it back. In an interview this same host put Imran on the spot and asked who was the better all rounder, Imran or Kapil. Imran took less than a second to say that Kapil Dev was a better All rounder. Respect is something which can only be achieved when you serve it to others yourself. Love to both the legends who brought home the first Sub continental, world cup trophy. Because of Gavaskar’s and Kapil’s achievements Imran too took inspiration to bring home the world cup.

Kapil Dev is very graceful in complimenting Mr Sunil Gavaskar as his Hero. If Kapil Dev had not scored that great century against Jimbabwe when top 5 batsmen were out, Kapil Dev single handedly won the match and the Great Indian went on to win 1983 World Cup!! Mr Sunil Gavaskar has also said, Kapil Dev, the Greatest Indian Cricketer!! 1983 World Cup Winning Team had a Character.
