In this exclusive interview, we sat down with actress Elizabeth Dennehy to discuss her career, how she got started in acting, some of her favorite roles, advice for young actors, what she's been up to lately, and of course her legendary role as the "hot-headed" Lt Cmdr Shelby in Star Trek The Next Generation's iconic two part episode Best of Both Worlds Part I & II and Admiral Shelby in Star Trek Picard season 3! We had an absolutely wonderful time getting to know Elizabeth and we hope that you enjoy the interview as much as we did!

Shelby should have been a recurring character I loved her ambition! She brought so much energy to that role so good at being that character you love to hate!

Great interview. Learned a lot about one of my favorite antagonists from TNG. She mentioned that she's married to James Lancaster. Might that be the same James Lancaster that played the role of Lt. Col. Arthur Fremantle from the epic 1993 movie "Gettysburg"? Didn't realize that he had a connection with Colm Meaney.

Great to see Shelby back in Picard but it's a shame she got so little screen time.

Ohh..! Yeah, was like, "Who was she in Total Recall..?" and looked it up. and it said 'Renata'. Looked *that* up, and that was the head female doctor at Rekall who was supposed to be in charge of implanting Arnold's vacation memory. Apparently, that was actually actress Rosemary Dunsmore.

I wonder if the Total Recall thing is Lycia Naff who played the 3-breasted Martian and also played Ensign Gomez in TNG for 2 episodes. They don't look alike at all, but both did 2 episodes of TNG in Season 3. (I know Elizabeth's 2nd was in Season 4), but that's link that came to mind that maybe someone on IMDB mixed up

No body, so not confirmed dead. That's how Trek works, nearly 60 years on. Shelby LIVES until "canonized" otherwise.

Matalis concurs, he says she's not dead if we don't see a body. And then still in Trek, that still doesn't count

The interview jumps somewhere round 27 minutes in, where she was talking about Picard. What happened?🤨 She was saying it was a crazy story and I wanted to hear it. Cool interview anyway, just a little glitch.

Maybe someone knows the answer to this. I was sure that I saw in either STNG or one of the movies that Riker was on a Borg cube & saw LCDR Shelby as an assimilated drone? Anyone?
