Yep it was inevitable, it was coming, it’s hard for him having a Dad like Ricky to try and live up to, but he seems just average, British title at best imo.
@tazmannn

@@mrdog2019in my opinion he needs to put abit of timber on and do some hours lifting weight and get some strength maybe put half a stone on a stone even then go from there! His dad had more muscle he's a good little fighter! Ricky could brawl so can Campbell but he needs to put abit of weight on

The only correct scorecard was the wide one. Hatton won the first 2 rounds then lost the rest. If his camp can't see and accept that then they really haven't learned anything from the loss. Denial will not serve Hatton well. Hard to say if Matthew has taken him as far as he can or whether that is just Campbell's ceiling. I think the latter but time will tell

I think Cambell deserves all the respect in the world and have said it many times . He is going through boxing with a massive weight on his shoulders he is also going down the route which is very traditional and respect to him for that . And what great people to have and Matthew is a real credit to him .

What a genuinely refreshing trainer's insight? This goes to show? Just how tight the Hatton family are ..(as a whole!) .. Modern day, loving family!? I know! That given this sort of respect! ... and truthful!! Admittance from Uncle Mathew? Campbell will re-pay this with greater performances, Wherever he trains and fights from in his future? I think that more families in our communities? Should take a leaf outa Matthew Hatton's book?? In , always putting family/friends etc ... before our own financial/personal benefits? God-Bless! Good Luck Campbell!!!! X

What an apprenticeship, having them guys in ur corner before u move on, and not only that, there for advice and guidance afterwards. Campbell gets a rough rise people need to back off and give the kid a break, he’s under massive pressure. And good that the trainer has made a firm decision on what is best for his fighter, always remember ur dad knows best 😉🤣🤣🤣🤣👊

Agree great trainees Alex but style wise he doesn’t have the attributes for ingles style , switch hitting on point footwork ( unless he took a year or two out to develop , & go back to basic with ingle & learn the footwork & style ) . Fury another good shout he’s more slower in the training methods but I’m not sure Peter takes in such a project again unless he takes a lot of time to learn & not fight . My gut is he goes to a trainer who will happily take him due to his profile which might be a disaster move for the laddie . Joe mcanally , Joe Gallagher , maybe even young coaches like Anthony Corolla etc But giving the general trainers comments on him I don’t think it will be as easy as just choosing a good one & start training . Hope the boy gets a decent one but my gut says it will be more an old timer like Gallagher or an ex pro just coming through .

@@albertsteptoe3710 bang on the money….if I was advising his career genuinely I’d tell him misfits boxing is a option I think he could get some coin maybe not Tommy fury kind of money but some good money more then he’s probably made in all his fights and then some….I really think someone needs to guide him what’s right in life not boxing winning titles and stuff would be great but for a lad like him who I don’t think has the ability even with more time…I think coin has to be the objective

Cambell gained my respect with that fight. It was very exciting and he showed toughness and heart. He lost to that very low level Spanish oppent early on (despite the gifted score card) and was challenged by other very low level oppents. His best performance was Flint, but he clearly lost. I think the rematch is the only way to go for him. New gym and trainer is a good suggestion before that fight.

Matthew is a top guy he has taken the kid as far as he can but i think it was time to move on Campbell and his dad are different fighter's, It's not possible to completely copy another fighter even if its your dad, They were training Campbell to come forward and put pressure on the other guy the same as is dad, I think a better technique would be for Campbell to be more clever with his punched 👊 Good luck to the kid 👍

I watched the fight and thought Campbell was out of his depth. He's not the fighter they think he is. Campbell style is all wrong for him he doesn't have the power or strength of his father or Matthew. I believe he's found his level aa a fighter and decide if he wants to continue as an opponent because he's certainly not a fighter who's going to pick up domestic level titles and certainly will never fight for European or world title honors.

If Campbell wants a chance at this sport. He needs to fly to the states, fight in the bar rooms of Mexico. The back towns of US. Win some lose some. Learn some patience, head movement. He should go to Teddy atlas, the the Dmato style. That style originated from Maxie Rosenbloom. Aka slapsie Maxie. He had like over 100 fights with 8 ko’s. Still was exciting. He needs some humility. And to be thrown to the sharks. Face some fears. Teddy Atlas could help him with that.

Flint won technically 7-3 for me, but a competitive fight. Matthew nor Ray Arcel can make something what isn’t there. Suggesting the fight is close isn’t helping anyone. Always be honest with fighters. Campbell is a fit brave lad, but very very limited. Punches are way too long, no variety of jab, head so high, easy to read, zero power, and is a bad KO waiting to happen. He’s fighting guys with little power. That’s intentional. Sadly there’s little indication of talent. That’s the truth. If Campbell goes elsewhere there’ll be no kid gloves. He’ll have a tough time, a new coach won’t be the panacea people think. But Campbell and Matthew are nice guys. You can only wish them well. Matthew is a genuine decent guy.
