if this is a competition to see who is more energetic or quick, Then the winner would be lightning. But unfortunately, it's not, and never will be, and no matter how tired you are of seeing Victor or what you think of his moves, does not matter. Victor's enters to win, and as long as he continues to win, there is no reason for him to change things up.

@wheelz1147 ай бұрын
Victor put on a clinic in this one imo. I thought the judges would go 3-0. Too much for the other guy to handle in terms of battle tactics combined with complex flows, transitions, moves, steps (footwork), along with originality and flavor to boot. Other guy had some incredible blowup moves no doubt, but not much else to be honest as far as the other components of the dance goes. Thought his 1st round was the best of his 3 where he stuck the Hong 10 freeze at the end, but still thought Victor's round 1 was better. Round two I thought Victor had the better round but the other guy ended strong (maybe thats why he took it). And round 3 was obviously Victor.
@DeepankarDetrox7 ай бұрын
Looks like a Vic fanboy here. Did u completely ignore Vic’s freeze to the opposite direction twice? Vic’s complex moves, direction changes and transitions are amazing but the other guy was fresh. 3-0 definitely not. 3-2
@wheelz1147 ай бұрын
@@DeepankarDetrox fanboy? That is what a child would say when they disagree but cant explain accurately why. First off, Victor only missed 1 freeze at 1:56 in what was otherwise a fantastic round. If you watch with intent you will see the other guy facing the opposition on 3 occasions. A burn at 2:20, a freeze (attempt) at 2:44 and another at 3:46. Furthermore, there is nothing fresh about him. Sure he is talented but there was not one original move or concept he showcased. Not one. Add to the fact he had no footwork, tops, flow etc. Which is why I said in my initial statement outside of some amazing blowup moves (all bites and major bites at that), he wasnt bringing much else to the table. Lastly 3-2? in a 3 round battle? #math

Chinese athletes will go the extremes to win. They don’t let the ‘cultural’ aspect of breaking affect them in a ‘sport’. Especially when they’re reppin China, who holds a significantly stricter attitude towards public, international stages. Let’s face it, for a battle in which originality hardly takes up a percentage of the score system, it’s a lot more efficient to use, modify, emulate existing moves. Biting is controversial. But it’s pretty evident Chinese bboys like Litheing are not laser-focused on originality. Believe it or not, I’ve heard rumours of Sambo straight up telling them to bite prominent bboys simply cause it’s gonna bring them results a lot quicker then first comprehending, finding, then implementing ‘originality’.
@Yangmang7 ай бұрын
I think it's fair. The standard of what becomes base has now been raised. An original move 10 years ago is now an easy move you can implement to your style.
@zzaqe21367 ай бұрын
@@YangmangI don't think yours is a fair statement. Base moves are still basic moves. When you learn windmill for the first time, that is a basic move but you are also taught and expected to eventually add your own flavour/spin to these base moves. You can't just take original moves from other bboys, mesh them up and call it your unique "style" That's called biting style
@headhunteroriginal7 ай бұрын
I understand your point, and with this current meteocre system of judging, possibly true, but you seem to be ruling out the idea of judges and the system of judging evolving which will happen. As time goes on improvements will be made to selecting qualified judges (former b boys with championship experience) and former b boys will not have any part of that at all. Biting is the ultimate sin in this culture and unless we allow judges that are dancers but are not qualified b boys and girls with championship experience, then perhaps yes. As in this battle as an example, the judges got it right even with having some judges on the panel who have no business being put in that position.

Lithe ing is always bringing new moves every time i sed him, he continues developing and improving very fast. “Biting” nowadays makes no sense, after decades of bboying discovering new original moves is almost impossible, but lithe learnt very difficult ones with great musicality and variations, and this is just incredible: he is a mesh up of many great bboys and i hope to see him on red bull bc one stage one day

Lithe is just a gymnast where as Victor is a bboy and super clean. Plus victors moves are so difficult, he changes direction so smooth and his always clean. Going out there and just doing big time moves will always be great to watch but it’ll only get you so far before you get stale. Gotta put it together and that’s what Victor does better than most. The judges recognize that, they’ve been around and understand that it’s not just about the big moves. Hey go ahead and try doing some of it yourself, you’ll see.
@Andrew.webster18 ай бұрын
Biting is somewhat of a silly concept these days. Some of the OGs say, you take my move its a bite. Some say flip them and its okay and some say if you can do them and do it better then take it. At this point there's no real 'regulation' of it. From hand me down moves as well - it's like what is biting really...and tbh its the fault of the breaking community overall to have no real consequences of it.
Hand me down moves is a good point. I think we agree that it's okay if you take a move and add your own spin to it. However, like in this example, when litheing literally does the exact same moves of hong10/Yuki in all his sets.. I no longer find it okay
@rjsb277 ай бұрын
But he didn't flip them though.
@grafflixx7 ай бұрын
i knew before i watched this that Victor would win. Lithe-ing is kinda new in the scene so they would not let an unknown asian guy win against a red bull allstar, even if he would smoke his ass. thats the sad part about the breaking scene, we already know how it works. Lithe-ing is one of the best right now imo. he has a good arsenal of moves, he is all around and has high level in everything, he has musicality and stamina. but the sad thing is he has to fight harder right now to become appreciated. but China is coming and killing everyone so hopefully he will get the recognizion he deserves very soon!
