TheComing IsSoon i kniw its 4 years later but i want to answer that question the way i think. I think Ryan made a lot of effort but he cudnt get pass the assitant stage. Sandra had this guard through out even after her divorce. I think she thought it was wrong cs he's much much younger so she didnt let him get too close. You could see him actively flirting these days and then a year later when both had divorced from their respective exes and when they didnt HAVE to flirt for the cameras thrn Ryan had a more mature romantic reaction to her rather than the 100 words per minute reaction here ( not complaining at all, just noticed that there are two different sides to him) but she wanst leading him on like she was doing during promotional days. but he tried really hard with like spending time together with Louis and sruff. also you can just tell when you watch people's choice awards interviews, his other movie stuff where sandra is there, you can tell tht he's much much calmer and half the time he spends staring at her in the most romantic way but she doesn't seem tht much in to him. I think for that whole year he really tried but he couldnt quite get her to where he wanted. woman like blake are easy for him. they are just up his alley so he went for tht option in the end
