The one thing I admire and love about Mon and Konyak people is that the local people work in every sector of business.Starting From Mistry, Jukali, taxi driver, barber, vegetable vendors, fish chicken market, garage mechanic, electronic mechanic and many more while in other district it is mostly occupied by non- locals.

When i look around all the Districts in NAGALAND, MON District is the only place where all the workers are doing by Local people eg, Building House construction, salon, carpenter etc

Honest work, whether big or small, is admirable. A lot of people don't realise the so called low jobs like cobblers, pumblers, trash collectors, etc serve an equally important function in society just as teachers, engineers or lawyers, etc do. Kudos to the young man for doing what he needs to do instead of staying idle.

I think you are getting it wrong. Most Nagas, whether in Nagaland or Manipur, have this false sense of pride and think it is below them to take up such jobs. They will starve and stay home but they will not become barbers or electricians or cobblers. They only want government jobs or big jobs. Even if non locals are banned from coming to the state, locals will still refuse to do such jobs. We need to change the mindset first. Also, if we Nagas want to go to other states and expect to work there, why should we stop others from coming to our places to find employment? The world is global more than ever and we cannot be insular. Such an attitude will only hamper our development. The best thing to do is to encourage local while also working with others.
